  1. It really does get better : ) Try baby food. Some of it can be pretty tasty
  2. Have you tried cream of ______ soups and cottage cheese? Those 2 were my saving grace.
  3. My longest stall was almost a month long! But I'm steadily losing now.
  4. I still have a low calorie problem. I'm afraid to over do it with food. I tend to do protein shakes when I need extra calories. They're always packed with them and protein is always a plus
  5. 5.5 months post op Breakfast: 2 slices of Velveeta cheese Lunch: 2 oz grilled chicken breast Snack: 1 slice Velveeta and 1 oz chicken Dinner: 2 cups greens and 1.5 oz chicken Snack: 1/2 cup Beans
  6. At first I didn't want sex. Once I lost about 20 pounds, I wanted a lot of sex. And now... I'll take it any time lol
  7. I stuck to it as well. At 6 weeks, I tried a class at the gym. Cardio, weight training. I had that shooting pain from the first week return. Don't push, you'll heal up soon enough
  8. In order to prove that you followed the diet, you should keep a food diary or attend something like weight watchers. I agree with the person above me ^^ I eat about 500-800 calories a day and am constantly in starvation mode yet I've lost. Try to modify what you're eating, exercise, and track. Then, when you submit again, they have no excuse to deny because you've covered all of your bases
  9. Kaiser had us stop all forms of birth control 3 months before surgery. Heparin shots in the hospital hurt like a b....
  10. I'm in the same boat. Pre-op, I slouched because of my boobs. Now, I still do the same lol. I'm working on it, but it really helps
  11. Highest weight: 330 Surgery day: 305 Current weight: 220 I'm short, 5'4, so the weight is obvious on me, not that I could hide it... Progressing along nicely I think. Not as fast as some, but slow and steady wins the race
  12. Thanks for the response. My goal weight is 175. You look so good!!! How tall are you?
  13. How much had you lost at 6 months? I too started out at a 24/26. Hoping to look like you a year out
  14. HW: 330 CW: 220 Goal by June 1st: 199 but getting under 210 would make me just as happy
  15. Everyone is different. There's no set rate.
  16. You will be able to drink post op. I had a couple drinks about 6-8 weeks out. Calorie wise, alcohol isn't a good choice though.
  17. I'm 24, was 23 when I was sleeved. In the 5.5 months since surgery, my life has changed for the better. My weight held me back and was always my go to excuse for why I couldn't do something. I would have the sleeve again in a heartbeat. I miss eating a full meal, but my confidence is up, I'm motivated to try new things, and I'm not scared of the world anymore. Today I am wearing a dress. I haven't worn a dress since senior year graduation when I was 18. I am very thankful for my sleeve.
  18. I think I made a thread about this too a few month ago. Try to work on your posture. It helps. My body was off because I would always slouch preop. Now I stand up straight and my back pain isn't that bad
  19. Your theory seems pretty valid. If my weight declines steadily and then I stall in about 3 weeks to a month, I'll let you know!
  20. I have days, like this morning, where I can eat 2-3 tablespoons of food and be full. Then I have days where I've eaten almost 3/4 of a sandwich. I think it's normal, weight is still coming off nicely. Just don't go too crazy too often and all will be well
  21. I'm 5.5 months out and I itch! I'm not dirty, and no allergies, but I itch like crazy mostly where I have stretch marks. Anyone else with this problem? Or know why it's happening?
  22. I second what Sarah said. I drank at 6 weeks. Just watch how much you drink, calorie wise, it's not good to drink often
  23. It is normal, you were cut open. It will go away with time.
  24. Yes. I will be honest and say that there are time when I think to myself, I wish I could have a whole plate. Then I look in the mirror and I don't miss it at all I tend to binge on salad. I eat mostly protein, so I go all out when I allow myself some greens
  25. Take some before pics. From every angle, even with clothes off if you're comfortable. It has helped me on many a gloomy day to look back at the person who was standing in front of the same mirror 5 months ago. Take pics every day, week, month. You'll be able to see the changes. It's nice to see it in a photo if you can't see it in a picture. The most important thing is that you will be on a path to better health. Don't be too concerned about if you're keeping up with everyone on the weight loss. Everyone has their own journey, and I'm sure that you will be quite content with the changes, no matter how big or how small. I can buckle my heel ankle strap now. Sounds dumb, but it was a HUGE deal to me. Good luck! And keep us posted on your journey. We're all full of advice and experiences, both positive and negative, and no matter the problem, someone can almost always help you
