  1. I agree with Fyre. I don't do fat free cheese or fat free dressings. The little I can have better include all the flavor! Hasn't affected my weight loss, I've lost a good amount. Just factor it in calorie/carb wise and you should be okay
  2. 2 beers is my limit. I have tried to drink 3, but the third just wont go down Anyone get the runs after a night of drinking? it clears me out better than milk of magnesia! Lol
  3. Thanks for all of the good advice everyone. You are correct, I am young, I am 23. I regard sex as an important part of a relationship. I have had a few partners, some which were relationships, and some one night stands. I haven't felt this way about someone in a long time. And I think that's what scares me. The phone conversation wasnt about what we would do to each other, it was about past experiences, both good and bad, likes, dislikes, and such. I don't want this relationship to revolve around sex as in the past, what could have been a potentially great relationship, was ruined after we slept together too soon. Then it became a physical relationship, and then I cut it off as it was going no where. I explained to him last night that I wasn't comfortable making this relationship about sex, and that as great as sex can be, I'm looking for something long term at the moment and that if he purely wanted sex, to please let me know so that I could shift my mental gears from potential next boyfriend to guy who just wants to f... Which would be fine with me too. (Not really but I wanted an honest answer) He told me that he was sorry that it was brought up so soon and that given the great connection we had, he would want to explore this first before jumping in bed. We plan to meet at a local Starbucks at least for the introduction.
  4. Hi, I met this amazing guy online and we've been talking non stop for about.... A week now? He would start texting me at 8 am and we'd go to bed around 3 am. My question is: Sex. When is it too early to speak about it? The topic was brought up, and so I rolled with it. I am pretty open about my sexuality, but I am now left with the feeling that this may just be about sex and that I ruined a potentially good, no great relationship by answering these questions too early. We have spoken on 2 occasions about sex. It dominated our first 3 hour phone conversation, taking up at least one of those hours towards the end. Opinions please, I'm meeting him face to face on Friday, and I really want this to work. Thanks.
  5. I'm not telling. When I finally lose what I want to lose, I will tell. But at the moment, I don't want to deal with the negativity
  6. I still try to deny my weight loss. Though I don't get many comments about it either. But many people have noticed my better eating habits and I inspired my coworker to eat better as well And now that I bought smaller pants, no one will notice! Lol
  7. Legally, you don't need to tell them anything. Doctors note that says you need two weeks off will do it and probably put you on medical leave for those 2 weeks. And then you're out. HR and my store manager know at my work. Plus 2 coworkers. That's it!
  8. Baby food helped me pull through. Yummy chicken soup with a dash of salt. Delish! I needed variety and they have SO MANY FLAVORS. My step mom showed up one day with a bag full telling me to eat up! So I did
  9. I just came back from the thrift store with a size 18 and a 22. Both fit nicely. How odd.
  10. I'm in. Maybe by the end of this I'll end up with a butt lol
  11. What's your body type? Apple, pear, hour glass?
  12. Hey all. Here's my summary as to how I am feeling at the moment. I was sleeved 11/26. its been 13 weeks. Ive been stalled for literally a month. I feel like ripping my hair out as I am currently @ 250 pounds. My surgeon told me my weight loss goal would be to hit 200. So I have 50 pounds to go. I wanted to hit 175. Others who were sleeved around the same date as me have posted that they've lost upwards of 60+ pounds already. i know everyone loses differently and all that jazz, but it still bothers me to be stalled. I took pictures back in June while I was still in the process of becoming sleeved. I had forgotten about them, and I am SO GLAD that I took them. In June in these pics, I was at 307. on my surgery day, I weighed 302.5 so I know these pictures, though 5 months before, are still pretty accurate as far as how I looked. Right this very second, I weigh 247. Thank god that the scale looks like its moving In 13 weeks, I have lost 55 pounds. I am not one of those amazing losers,I eat on average between 600-800 calories a day. I hit at least 50 grams of Protein a day which is low, and my Water intake is not that great either. I have lost an average of 4 pounds a week. Which is fine with me, hopefully it gives my skin enough time to make a come back. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE: take pics pre-op. full body. all sides, naked or with a tight top on. I have been depressed about my weight until I saw these pics. and looking through, I don't even recognize that girl anymore. and sadly enough, I never thought I was that big... Stay positive, and Enjoy! Side: Before, After Front: Before, After Back: Before, After
  13. It is my fav! Try a small piece and let it sit for a few minutes. If you haven't had problems with new foods before, I'm sure you'll do fine with sashimi
  14. I miss being invisible. I am a bit shy, introverted, convinced that the first thing people notice about me is how fat I am. Having lost even a bit of weight has me getting more attention. And I'm not really okay with it yet. I'm working on it though, and happy, I try to speak up more, but old habits die hard I also tuck my hand under my roll to warm it up. Now I can just put my tips under compared to my whole hand from before
  15. I try to drink mine in the hour it takes me to get to work each morning. But it's like my mind knows and wont drink it. I don't have problems with big gulps of liquid, but if I take big gulps of protein, my stomach will be killing me by the time I get out of the car
  16. I use to just take naps whenever I needed to all day week one. Once you can get back to your usual sleep position, it really helps
  17. I found that having a pillow directly next to you and then rolling your belly onto it helped keep the incision from moving. I would usually get stuck in this position though, I always had trouble flipping back over. My awkward turtle phase. Unable to turn over from my back to my front. It was in good fun, but my family thought it was funny.
  18. It kills me to this day to drink 8 oz of Protein. Lol Who knew liquid could sit so heavy! I always try to trick my body into thinking its just Water or juice, but it knows!!!
  19. I did just finish my period the day we had sex.
  20. Oh wow. I bought some Monistat 3 day. So I'm using suppositories and cream. I feel relief already. I just wonder how the heck this happened! I've never had either a yeast infection or UTI and this whole situation is freaking me out. My partner is all butt hurt that I won't have sex at the moment. But it hurts... Hopefully Monistat saves me. Otherwise.... I dunno
  21. I've always felt like I have to pee right after peeing. Crap, could I have had a UTI for a few months?
  22. Kind of TMI topic but here goes: I think I have a problem "downstairs" Had sex with my partner 4 days ago. We use condoms so no issues there. I am now itchy down there. It burns when I pee. It hurts when I wipe. It could be because I was a bit aggressive when checking and spreading down there. I was convinced for a minute that my partner gave me something, he got himself checked, nothing. My gyno isn't free till Friday. I'm freaking out. I've read a few ladies get UTIs after getting sleeved. Can anyone tell me symptoms or signs of a UTI or yeast infection?
  23. Yes, you'll be fine.
