  1. Sorry! Didnt realize this was in the men's room!!!
  2. I started drinking at 6 weeks out. Try a small sip first to see how it feels. Don't go crazy or anything the first time as tolerance changes post op. and, keep in mind that alcohol is liquid calories and adjust your day accordingly.
  3. Could I have the info too please?
  4. I felt the same at first. Now, I'm 6 months out, and I don't give an f... People can think what they want, the sleeve worked for me and I am proud of my results. The majority of people say hateful crap because their jealous and threatened by you. I've lost a few close friends over my sleeve, but obviously they weren't that great if I lost them so easily. You may hesitate now, but give yourself time to get use to it
  5. I drink the already made miso broth from Whole Foods. 30 calories a cup is a pretty good deal for me!
  6. All the sleeve is is something to help you lose weight. If I start eating small portions of McDonald's everyday, then yes, I will gain. The sleeve is a tool designed to assist you in losing weight. Sure, it's major surgery, it's my first surgery, but realistically, smaller portions DO NOT = weight loss. You can start drinking milkshakes at every meal, along with chips and crackers, and in 2 weeks, you'll see exactly why that is. I'm not going to stop calling my sleeve a tool. My sleeve helps me, it doesn't do all the work for me. I also have to put thought into what I eat and what I drink. Exercise is another tool. I am sorry for your loss. The loss of a parent is hard, I lost my mother at a young age.
  7. How big are your portions and how fast do you eat them? Are you full on throwing up? Or just sliming? I'm 6 months and slime almost everyday. I tend to shoot for 2oz of Protein and am only able to hold down 1-1.5oz. I just Serve myself smaller portions and go from there
  8. Did you get shots of blood thinner in the hospital? I would let your doctor know what's going on. Perhaps they can put you on a different pill.
  9. I tried a shot at 4 weeks, burned and I could only drink half. At 6 weeks, I got wasted at a company party and had 5 drinks. It varies person by person. Just be careful not to drink too fast, I get drunk so fast now!
  10. I did. I wanted to know what they were going to be doing in there lol
  11. Dr. Robert Li from Kaiser SSF sleeved me. He is an AMAZING surgeon. I love him!
  12. I'm 6 months out. I still don't hit 64 oz, but I do hit at least 50g of protein. It's something you must work at
  13. You will notice MAJOR restriction when you start solids.
  14. Easy for you to say!!!! I freaked the heck out for a long time. No use crying over spilt milk... Or in this case lost hair.
  15. I treat my calories like cash. Some days I spend my "money" on good foods and have some to spare, some days I go crazy and have drinks but I make sure to stay within "budget" If only I were this strict with my actual money lol
  16. It's kind of just something to live with. I lost half my hair at 3 months. But it's growing back in!!! Lol I just deal with it, it'll come back
  17. You can do both processes at the same time. Chances are, it will take you at least a month to get a date, so just keep in touch with you PCP and you'll be fine!
  18. Tracking calories will never be a bad thing. Some people, like me, freak out over eating too much. I am lax about a lot with the sleeve, my calories are something I don't mess around with.
  19. CW: 216 I believe, 219 with clothes on Obviously I'm not hitting 200 in 3 days. My main goal is to hit 200 by June 13 which is my 6 month check up.
  20. I slept on my back. Eventually moved to my side. Then to my stomach at 2 weeks out, didnt want to push.
  21. Wow! Fiddle man! You look AMAZING!!!! Such a transformation!
