  1. You look amazing!!! I only hope to have results like yours!!!
  2. You're able to get down all the Water? Any advice? I struggle with water so much! I eat one meal every 4 hours. Even my Snacks are 4 hours out. So if I'm still up in an hour and a half, I'll eat my egg or maybe mozzerella balls. It's funny, my stomach starts to feel funny and I look at the clock and its like 4 minutes away from 4 hours. Glad my body is on board with me lol
  3. I guess I shouldn't be worried then. I had a protein drink for breakfast, egg for lunch, and 1.5oz mozzerella balls for dinner. Probably have 1 more egg as a snack. Doesn't seem like too much for a day right?
  4. My 2 weeks was on Monday. I am now eating hard boiled eggs and mozzarella cheese balls. And thinly sliced turkey.
  5. I am... Like 3 weeks post op. I ate a WHOLE egg during lunch. Felt stuffed and spit up a little bit but got over it. Anyone else able to eat that much?
  6. It's okay. It reminds me that there is a reason I never ask for favors. Because it sucks when people say no
  7. So my step mom said no. How depressing. And although my dad said yes, it really doesn't matter. He said for me to go ahead and move in. But I don't want to force myself on them Either. Maybe I'll look into renting a room.
  8. I want to stay until I'm ready to leave. Until I have enough money for an apartment of my own. So 6 months to a year.
  9. Thanks for all the advice. I talked to my dad and mow I'm waiting for my step mom. If she says yes, I'm officially moving back in. I'm kind of sad. What if this doesn't work out? Or what if they kick me out in the long run?
  10. Hell no. Your stomach is still waaaaay too tender to handle such a harsh drink. I'm 16 days post op and drank some Water with a lemon. Hurts like a b*tch. Ask your surgeon if you can. I went to a holiday party a few days ago and stayed sober. It sucked but you don't want to play with your sleeve while its still able to get a leak, ulcer, or an infection
  11. I think you're right. It's hard to say good bye, and change scares me. But I want to finally care about myself and put myself first for once! It's just hard. I'm just scared to make the wrong decision.
  12. Hi, I'm post op a little over 2 weeks. Before surgery. I had lived with my SO for 5 years. we had good and bad times. For the past 2 weeks while recovering, i stayed with my parents. And surprisingly, I really enjoyed it. The issue now is, what should I do? My relationship has been so painful for me and he tends to not treat me well. I know I should leave. I should have left years ago. My issue is: what do I say? I'm 23,I haven't lived at home since I was 19. I find that though I just came back to my SOs house, I am constantly thinking about my family. The environment was better for me there than it is here. Any advice? I promised myself that I would change my life around when I got my sleeve. And my feelings for my SO have changed so much. Thanks.
  13. I bought a big bottle of optimum nutrition as well. I don't drink it anymore because I just can't stomach it. I switched to body fortress and I think it's great. Pick something you like, post op will suck if you have a nasty Protein drink that you end up forcing down
  14. Don't worry too much about it. It's normal to fear the unknown, but a few days post op when I was walking I was thinking to myself, "wow, I seriously wound myself up and I'm perfectly okay." You'll do great!!!!
  15. I went through a few days where I was literally saying goodbye to people. Everyone thought that I was over reacting but I was truely convinced that this was it. I had to constantly remind myself of why I was doing this: to not be sweating all the time, to not have my knees hurt when walking, to not get diabetes in the future, to live longer, to be healthier, and for me most importantly, to be a good example to my kids when I finally do have them. Being heavy has held me back. I constantly feel as though people are judging me by my weight and not by my worth. I am a worthy person, of love and of good things in life. You only live these days once. Once the day is over, it's gone forever. I just want to be able to look back at my life when I am older and know that I took chances and I tried to make things better for myself. To know that I did try to live life to its fullest. The 30 minutes before surgery while I was sitting on the gurney in my gown with my IV in, I was texting my brother who was telling me, "it's not too late to back out. I can come get you and you can go home and think about it" I found comfort in being so sure of this decision. And it's something that I don't regret. I am only 2 weeks post op. but I am learning just how strong of a person I can be. And it's nice to see that food doesn't control me anymore.
  16. I mourned being able to eat HUGE portions. My sleeve keeps me eating 3 oz of cottage cheese instead of all 20oz with a box of crackers. It is sad, but I find I am focusing more on the taste of food vs the act of eating.
  17. Depo shot me up about 50 pounds when I took it as well. I never would have but I went with a friend who didn't want to do it alone. Hurts and weight gain is CRAZY!
  18. Try going to planned parenthood. They're free/low cost. The mirena hurts. I've never had kids and they dilate your cervix to put it in. The dilation part is what is killer. They do give you some pain shots though. It is worth it in the long run. Protection 24/7, light/no period. I'm waiting to get mine back in. I'll take more protection with pain over a chance of missing a pill any day. Nuva ring isn't that bad either. 3 weeks left inside you, 1 week out. Like the pill but you don't need to take it every day. Your partner may or may not feel the ring.
  19. I'll be doing the mirena when I get the okay from my dr. Hurts like a b*tch to have it put in But it's effective!
  20. So I just got torn a new one by my family. Summary: I'm a failure in life. Any who, it is lunch time for me and because I am sad/ just cried, I find myself unable to eat my full serving of lunch as it seems to be almost stuck in my throat. Any amount that I do eat just comes back up. My question: does being emotional make the sleeve tight? I use to be able to eat my emotions away and now I can't even manage a 1/4 cup of cottage cheese. Anyone have anything similar happen?
  21. Actually if you read your previous post you pretty much stated that expecting to be treated with "kid gloves" is unrealistic. We are all adults. As you also stated, this is "tough love" well it's tough love for all of you guys that like to come on threads putting people down. What did YOU expect? For everyone to jump on your bandwagon? A lot of us have been bullied in the past. And bullying comes in many forms. You were also at a point in your life where you'd rather junk to healthy options. And if you really think a "kick in the butt" solves the situation, reality is it doesn't. It makes people feel like sh*t about themselves, to lose focus, and to start to hate themselves. This is a new beginning for a lot of us. Why can't we all just be supportive of each other? No one understands these situations better than all of us as we've all been there before.
