  1. I only shared surgery originally at work with about 10 people. I did not even tell parents until a month out. Everyone is very supportive! From a friend often that does body building competition to those that are very over weight. They have made me comfortable enough to start telling others.
  2. I am two months out and get hungry !!!! This is not like before I might add. . I just get hungry NOT ravenous so this is nice! I agree with a poster about acid or need for more fluids I eat about 600-650 calories now. Before I was about 4-500 for the last few weeks. I get on treadmill about 4-5 times per week or do Pilates. So everyone will be different. Good luck guys! Our journey will be successful
  3. I am so worried about some of the nut support I see out here! I have two of the best nuts at my doctors office. So supportive and encouraging. Staff is awesome to! There are high level req that most if us get. After that it is up to us to make choices based on our new bellies! I will be happy to share any info I have. 60-90 grams of Protein 45-60 grams carbs 25 grams fat 64 oz of fluids Low sugar I have had some large taste changes and struggle to fit in with the normal folks but last week I finally realized I really don't want too! Let me know via message if I can share anything!
  4. Big difference! You are looking good sister!!!
  5. Hi Jessica. I gave it up til last week. I was not craving it....I simply could not stand any more decaf coffee. It is gross!!!!
  6. Amy... Go get some glucose tablets at pharmacy. If your sugar is bottoming out you needs carbs or sugars! They are only about 1.50 per tube and are chewable. You can also have apple juice (nonconcentrate) mixed with some Water if too sweet. What you are experiencing is common. In a week you will start feeling better.
  7. Thanks Kate. Mentally journey has been harder than expected but everyone here has been great. !
  8. Funny! It truly is the little things. Great work
  9. 8 week follow up. Bmi down from 35.89 to 30.76. I have lost 39% of excess body weight. About 33.5lbs. 49 lbs to go
  10. My guidelines go through several months. I will send some PDF files as I get on home computer.
  11. I can forward you some stuff my dietician sent me for stage one and two recipes or ideas to try if you want. Just send me your email. It will take some time. Don't worry. I lived on sf Popsicles. Chili blended. Beef stew blended etc. you will find what works for you. Be patient
  12. I still struggle with wanting food. It brought me such pleasure in my pre-sleeve life. . I waste stuff now. Things do not taste same. My favs are not my favs anymore. Trying to find new things right now. I am about 7 weeks out. I did get some of changs whit meat chicken. No rice. And their special dipping sauce and that us frankly the only thing I have truly enjoyed. I think in a few months things will change. It's hard but I never thought our journey would be easy. Good luck and just keep trying.
  13. Awesome Doreen !!! You look fab darling!!!!
  14. My doc told me to avoid nuts and uncooked veggies for several months. To fibrous and hard on our newly stapled stomach.
  15. Congrats Amanda! Welcome to the journey

  17. You are going great. Freaked us all out. Gets you ready. Only thing is you will not even want it later. I still get Hungry but not ravenous like before. Change is weird and amazing.
  18. It is scary and exciting. Do not worry.dkes our habits worse. If you have decent health and do what doc says. Complications are rare. They do happen to unsuspecting peeps however I was willing to take the risk for my future. Talk to others. Use support groups and make sure you have a few good supporters at home or work!
  19. 100-200 calories is no good young man. . I cannot drink cold Water since surgery. I loved water. It comes back up on me all the time. Your progress is great. But I am sorry you are not feeling well. Let us know what doc says.
  20. I was lucky to get 1-2 oz down for first week. I am about 7 now and get 3-4 oz down. Strange belly noises and tight are normal
  21. Great news Anne. Hang in there. Day 4 makes the big turn.
