I had the dreaded three week stall that lasted about two weeks and have lost 45 pounds since 2/12. And 47 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. It is all relative!
I am happy with my 1.5 to 2 pound average per week. Because this time..it is gone for good!

Mark, BTB, Around, Tally and many others- I cannot begin to express my appreciation for you guys taking the time to consistently provide high quality information in the fitness forum with regards to lifting and supplementation. For guys that are newer to the fitness and bodybuilding scene, this information is invaluable. Being 6 months into this type of fitness, I consider myself a newbie. however, I am glad that every day is a new day to increase understanding about the body and the role that fitness and supplementation has on it.

That happened to me last week when we added weights for the first time for my deadlifts (not to the extent that you had it but I noticed that my hands felt a bit weak after my set) so my trainer changed up my grip this week on deadlifts and it was the most awkward thing ever. I am used to gripping the bar with my thumbs on the outside of my fingers just lightly resting and this week he changed it so my thumb is wrapped around the bar first with my fingers on top of it. I didn't get that numb feeling either. But the interesting thing was I felt it much more in my core, even with the extra 10 pounds he added this week. So I don't know.

I have read where it's good to take a week off every so often. So this is my week off. I took it cuz I flew up to Cincinnati to take care of my grandmother. She had her knee replaced and ended up back in the hospital. So that is the priority this week. I miss it like crazy but it's for a good cause. I have to content myself with wearing my Crossfit tshirts. Lol.
Good on you guys!! So proud to see a few of us working this hard. The level of commitment to ourselves is fantastic!!
Woohoo! No matter how "bad" our day in the box is...we are more than lapping everyone else on the couch.
    Hugs to you all!!

Protein synthesis and builds muscle that can lead to a higher metabolism. In the same way that strength training can create an anabolic environment that helps burn fat, performing sprints does the same by temporarily boosting growth hormones and testosterone.
After performing sprints, metabolism is significantly elevated, meaning you continue to burn a higher number of calories, even at rest. That means that you can cut your workout time in half and still get the results you’re looking for.
Sprinting can take the form of running, cycling or even rowing. A great starting point is maintaining a sprint for 8 seconds with 3-5 minutes of rest between bursts.
Pushing a prowler can combine the benefits of strength training and sprinting into one exercise. The prowler push is a great full-body, fat-burning workout that allows you to maximize your heart rate while using your lower body to push and contract your upper body and core muscles.
Since high-intensity work using a large volume is one of the best ways to decrease body fat, make sure the resistance is challenging to see the best results.
Counting calories may not be enough to get results if your diet isn’t “clean.”
Eliminate all processed foods, sugar and trans-fats from your diet, and focus on eating fresh forms of protein, vegetables, a moderate amount of fruits and healthy fats such as coconut oil, olive oil and butter from grass-fed cows.
Make sure to get enough Fiber by building your plate around a large serving of antioxidant-rich vegetables such as kale, cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, eggplant or spaghetti squash.
Stay hydrated, especially in the hot summer months, by drinking plenty of Water and avoiding juice, soda, sports drinks and alcohol.

I promise..it wasn't meant to be a dig at anyone who is lucky enough to be able to lose weight without exercising! I was more frustrated with how hard I have to work to get the scale to move and having a pity party that day lol.
Funny thing is I have come to love my workouts so to each their own!

This post made me giggle!! The OP "asked" and I am guessing she wants honesty! It would be real boring if everyone got on here saying I exercise 4, 5, 6x's a week for 90 minutes and I absolutely love it, I can't imagine my life without blood, sweat and tears!!! ** yawn ** Sure, sure - and everyone else is destined to fail. It is what it is, some of us are gym rats, exercise gurus....whatever you want to call it, and some of us would rather have a sharp stick in the eye!!! I don't sit on the couch all day, eating ice cream and claim to lose weight, but I don't go to a gym. The last time I "went" to anything that resembled a gym was when I signed up for Curves back in about 2003. They drafted money out of my account for a year and I went 'religiously' for less than six weeks. I will never again do that. I have a weighted ball here at the house, I have a band that I work with occasionally. I go up and down the stairs ON PURPOSE, more times than I need to every day, I walk the mall shopping a time or two a week......and I park as far out in the parking lot as possible, even when it's 102 degrees outside. It isn't a treadmill or lifting weights but nobody can poo poo my success....so far. I say so far, because each of us lives day to day with the same worries, we have to be mindful of what the scale says, we have to make choices on what we eat. We can eat so little, I MUST love it if I'm going to use space and calories and eat it.
I do not recommend NOT exercising to anybody, a year ago I wouldn't have told anyone that I lost it all, 100% of my excess weight, without exercise. I wouldn't want to be a bad example for anyone, but then I figured, I need to be honest, I am what I am.....and I made conscious choices, conscious lifestyle changes that I KNOW I can do forever and I've been maintaining for over 2.5 years now. So far, so good, but I do NOT ever want to be complacent, I am looking at my 'dashboard' every single day. Dr. Ashmore said last week at a group meeting, "A little paranoia is good". Good, because I am a 'little' paranoid about waking up 25 pounds heavier and starving to death.
Don't punch kittens, be patient with us bums, we're all in the same boat, but some of us 'tread water' differently. I admire those who are hitting the gym most days, I really do. I AM going to sign up for a 5K when it cools off this fall. I know without a doubt I can do it, but I'm a sissy, I don't want to sweat!! LOL Don't say nasty things about me, I'm just being truthful!!!!

I hear you. Unassisted pull ups are hard. However, it will be so rewarding when you do the first one. And then 5, 10, 15 and so on. It is still my weakest body weight exercise, but practice makes perfect. When I was working on this myself, I found that ring pull-ups helps build the upper body strength. Handstand or military pushups will help also. There is a book on Amazon that caught my eye called "50 pull-ups in 7 weeks" this might be like c25k program where it is progressive, one day at a time. I am going to keep practicing this right along side you until I no longer call the pull-up my weakest exercise

I am slowing down too and increasing the amount that I eat. But I actually am okay with increasing to about 1200 calories a day..I don't do well when I super starve myself.
But I agree my body is changing in ways that aren't reflected on the scale so I am okay with that.
