  1. Lol!!! I had the same thought!
  2. I have some unflavored protein powder used for baking. The next batch I may try mixing some of that in. The site didn't have nutritional information, I just plugged in the recipie to MFP.
  3. I have this in my hands too, and I can see/feel a vein on the side of my head in my hairline. I am usually not bothered by the changes happening to me but this one makes me pretty self conscious.
  4. That was my first thought too
  5. That site also has almond butter banana cookies!
  6. It is the internet. It is easy to hide behind a mask or firewall of anonymity and sit in judgment.
  7. http://civilizedcavemancooking.com/grain-free-goodies/caveman-cookies/ I just made these..they are Delicious! Not to sweet but not bland. I used unsweetened coconut.
  8. I also really hate pushups. I am still modifying it by using a bar setup and we do go lower each time, but damn..I am struggling by like that 7th or 8th rep. However, I noticed the other day that I am getting that like nice bump of muscle on the top of my arm. Now if the bottom bat wing would just drop off it would look like Fiddle's arms
  9. I always wake up with this tightness in my back..so I did that stripper stretch you were referencing Fiddle..and oh man felt so good. Trainer thought I pre stretched before I got into the training session because he is used to having stretch me before we get started. Great Tip!
  10. I am six months out and down 58 pounds. I routinely eat around 1100 to 1200 calories. I do work out 5 to 6 days a week. I just can't do very low calories.
  11. I love this idea!!! I am a senior audit manager in Internal Audit for a large healthcare company.
  12. This happens a lot..hence why I constantly preach the scale is just a number!!!
  13. I am really unsure of what you are alluding to. I went back and looked at locked posts and they were all around the same thing..not making fun of other members which included some specific items like language, duplicate posts etc. So what other offensive behavior has been allowed? If you want to talk about offensive behavior...then ya'll's chat room conversations which routinely deal with sex, masturbation and I believe an anal posting if I saw that correctly today I would call offensive. I have however learned how to leave chat..so it is the same concept..don't read it if it offends you.
  14. Yeah it took me like 3 months to get to 1,200 so I am going to scale in 50 to 100 calorie increments. Otherwise it becomes this like relentless chore each and every day..ugh
  15. Last week was such a crappy week for me workout wise. I lost like 3 pounds but I had SH*TTY training sessions..like to the point I felt like I let my trainer down. He even asked me if I felt okay because I wasn't my usual self. So I am going to bounce back this week and remove the words "I can't" from my vocabulary! I am also needing to increase my calories, which is a bit of a scary thought for me..I am around 1,200 a day now at 6 months out. According to my TDEE which I adjusted for having less lean body mass I need to be somewhere around 1,500 calories a day to lose weight. Furthermore, I need more sleep. According to my UP band..I am only averaging like 6 hours of sleep a night. Anyway..that is my confession!
  16. Me too. I eat a half one a day for a snack
  17. God I hope you have a HUGE ASS Frig.. SEE WHAT I DID THERE!! HAHAHA!!! Okay I need sleep lol
  18. So I have been looking around researching different information sources on lifting specifically relating women and what are some of the goals, timeline, workout plan etc., that I can aspire to. Holy Crap there is a lot of information out there and everyone and their mom seems to have a differing opinion. So I thought I would ask you guys! What are some of the forums/blogs/website you follow? I honestly am not sure what I am looking for. All I know is that I love lifting weights and I never thought I would and want to learn more!
  19. You know I don't know whether to send you a hug or throttle you! How many times have you given the advice to take things slow and steady, work the sleeve and it will work for you? How may newbies have you smacked over the head for getting discouraged and wanting to give up or convinced they broke their sleeve? How many others have you helped believe in themselves and that the struggle and sweat and tears are all worth it? No one will believe in you until you believe in yourself. Now take some of that advice that you so freely dish out! I may not always agree with everything you say, but I do respect you enough to know that you genuinely care and now you need to point all that good advice inwards. Forgive yourself, heal yourself, love yourself...that's all I got. Oh and the scale is JUST A NUMBER..I swear to god I am going to get that tattoed on my ass.

Pretty sure this is the most accurate post in the thread!!
  21. One step at a time, one day at a time
  22. I do these type of workouts sometimes. I mix up what I do...sometimes it is sit ups, sometimes it is pushups, or squats. I like this format because it is 4 minutes total exercise but very targeted and focused.
  23. This post lacks details
  24. Hmmm this is interesting. I was having a conversation with another co worker who is a workout freak and he was telling me that his regimen before working out/lifting is oats with either some fruit or organic raw honey. I thought that meal sounded really heavy before working out but didn't think of eating it earlier. I usually do half an apple with nut butter or I might do greek yogurt with some home made granola in it.
