Hate The New Update! Can I Go Backwards If I Reload App?
Another work around on the iPad is just to go to the website itself (as I am doing now) rather than the app. That way, you don't have to worry about rotating the iPad or buttons that don't work.

African American Sleevers
Hi All, I have been reading more and more about hair loss after WLS and it sounds pretty inevitable, but I also remember reading in this thread a lot of people who didn't (or haven't yet) experienced hair loss. It's my understanding that the hair loss doesn't even usually start until 3-4 months after surgery but that it does grow back starting a couple of months later. Can people who have been sleeved at least 3-4 months please share their experiences with hair loss? I have locs and I'm just picturing losing clumps of them

Where?
I had not thought of this before this thread, but it's a great idea. I found one on Amazon I like: http://www.amazon.com/Gastric-Sleeve-Medical-Italian-Bracelet/dp/B007NMF242

Hate The New Update! Can I Go Backwards If I Reload App?
I have iPad 4 and the only way I am able to use the app on it is to start and stay in portrait mode.

Surgery Date Moved Up! Anyone With Dr Joya Jan 21St In Puerto Vallarta?
I'm still not having my surgery until March, but I wanted to say congrats on getting your flight changed. I know how badly you want to be started on your journey (me too, but I can't change my date ). I wish you the best of luck and much success! PS. You can change your surgery date ticker--how exciting!

Plan To Stick Around
I'm still pre-op, but I definitely plan on sticking around for the long haul! Right now, this site is a wealth of information and support and I hope it will continue to be so after my surgery, but I also want to give back once I have some experience under my belt to help all the newcomers.

If you haven't read this article about stalls, you should--it explains a lot: http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html

Seattle Seevers?
I'm in Seattle, but I'm not getting sleeved until March, also in MX. I can't really be of much help with finding a PCP who will do follow-up--I'm a student and I see a doctor on my campus--but I would be happy to have sleeve buddies in/near town.

If you go into your profile and click on the box on the left where your photo is supposed to go, you should be able to add it.

Unjury Chicken Broth....
Good idea!

Sleep Problems?
Staying asleep is also my problem. Nothing that I've tried--pretty much every prescription and over the counter remedy--seems to help. I seem to remember that I slept better when I worked out regularly, so maybe once I get back into that habit my sleep will improve [fingers crossed].

Sleep Problems?
Is it common for insomnia to get worse after surgery? If so, I'd better start preparing for this now.

Dr. Jesus Ortiz
I'm still pre-op, but I'm strongly considering going with Dr. Jesus Ortiz (and yes, he's young--younger than me!). I was told by someone who had surgery with Dr. Lopez (who trained Dr. Ortiz) a month ago that Dr. Ortiz assists Dr. Lopez in TJ (Dr. Osuna has not been assisting Dr. Lopez in TJ because she's taking care of her sick mother in PV, I'm told) and, when he's in TJ, Dr. Lopez assists Dr. Ortiz, so either way you wind up with the same medical team (unless Dr. Lopez is in PV). Hopefully that isn't too confusing to follow!

I've Got A Peaceful, Easy Feeling...
I've got Spring Break envy. I'm getting mine done over Spring Break too--a little early, actually--except I'm getting it done on 3/22, which is the Friday before my Spring Break officially starts. I miss semesters

Hurry Up Aleady....feb. 2013
I'm in this boat too and I have to wait until the end of March It is so hard not to be fixated on this, for all of the reasons you've all already stated, but I'm also trying find ways to make myself believe that time really will fly, because looking at the larger picture, it really will. Thank goodness for VST.

Yay! Surgery Date Set For March, Any Other March 2013 Sleevers?
I'm going in March, but not until the 22nd. Save a spot on the losers' bench for me!

March 22
Me? I'm in Seattle, but like I said to SerendipityHappens, I'm happy to be sleeve buddies from afar! Even if we don't get it done at exactly the same time, it sounds like we're all going to have March in common, so we can experience the joys (and possible frustrations) of being newly sleeved at roughly the same time

Fun And Maybe Some Laughs
There's so many good things listed here already, but here's some more I can think of: I won't miss feeling so fixated on food. I am excited to be able to wear high heels for a good length of time without being in excruciating pain (I have so many that I've never even worn!).
