  1. I couldn't find anything under this name, but it sounds really similar.
  2. You look great! Keep up the good work!
  3. Thanks for all the great input--I had never even considered that I might skip over sizes. I've decided to practice restraint and save the skinny shopping for rewards along the way. And Pinterest is a great idea.
  4. I recently found an iPad app called "See Me Get Fit" (not sure if it is also available for iPhone). Basically, you enter your weight then you take a picture so that you can visually track your weight loss. Perhaps best of all, you can password protect the app so that only you can access it. I'm really looking forward to seeing my progress on it and I thought it was cool enough to share.
  5. It's good to know that it won't necessarily last long. I have read in some other threads to try the Listerine breath strips, so that's my plan. I have a feeling I will be eating them constantly while the ketosis breath lasts.
  6. My surgery is a little over a month away, but I have found myself fighting the urge to shop for new clothes for weeks now. I promised myself that I wouldn't buy any more clothes at my current size (except for a few items for comfort that I think I'll need immediately after surgery), but now I find myself wanting to buy skinny clothes. The problem is, I have no idea what size to even buy, so my common sense tells me to just wait until I have the joy of celebrating new sizes with the treat of shopping. The only problem now is that I made the mistake of looking at a sale on Hautelook and now I really want a few items. For those who are unfamiliar with Hautelook, it is a sample sale site that sells a variety of items (not just clothes) from a variety of brands at a super discount--the catch is that the sales last only for 2 days and that's it--it's not likely that you'll ever find those items again and especially at those prices. So, should I buy these 2-3 items now in anticipation of the new me or should I just try to forget about them and remind myself there will be other cute clothes down the line? If I do buy, should I buy a 12/14, which is the smallest I've ever been in my adult life or an 8/10, which might be a better look for some of these items and is sort of my goal (I'll accept smaller as my ultimate weight loss for sure, but would be happy winding up at an 8/10)?
  7. Since my original wish already came true, would it be greedy for me to make another? Oh well, here goes: I want health and happiness in the new year.
  8. Well, I got my wish! I am officially having surgery on Jan. 17! I cannot wait
  9. I'm also currently going through this, although I am trying to keep it reigned in by allowing up to only 1 food funeral per day and also offsetting it by having a protein shake for breakfast (I figure that will help me ease into the pre-op diet also).
  10. I purchased my plane ticket today! Jan. 17 is happening! Thanks for all your well-wishes!
  11. This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
  12. Thank you for sharing in such great detail--I will be there next month and this is all very good to hear. Also, I think it's awesome that you and your mom are on this journey to health together.
  13. All I want is to know for sure if I get to move my surgery date up from Mar. 22 to Jan. 17. So far, things look good (about 90% sure), but I'm not sure if I'll know for sure by Christmas (fingers crossed).
  14. It looks like I will be joining the Jan. sleevers club. I was going to have VSG on March 22, but it's looking more and more like I'm moving that date up to Jan. 17 (fingers crossed). I should know for sure within a week or so.
  15. I just sent requests to you both. I haven't fully set up my MFP profile yet, so there's no pic, but I will do it soon.
  16. I have tried looking through old posts to find an answer to this question, but I've had no luck. Does anyone know at what stage it is okay to use chia seeds or can you at least tell me how far along you were when you started? Thanks.
  17. I was originally planning on March 22, but now it looks like I get to move my date up to Jan. 17--so exciting! 30 days!
  18. I might be moving my surgery date up from March to January after all. I have a few things to figure out before I can make the final decision, but I really want to get it done sooner. Wish me luck!
  19. Thanks for this! I am really looking forward to surgery, but not to hair loss!
  20. You look fantastic! Congrats! Also, thanks for sharing your progress--very inspiring.
  21. Glad to hear that you are doing well! Wishing you much success!
  22. You look great and you're absolutely right--in a few more months you'll have even more amazing after photos! Wishing you continued success!
