  1. Most of us that are obese, feel that the foods we consumed have an addictive quality to them. Therefore we are addicted to food. I as a food addict ate to the point of pain. Often spending evenings eating and waiting for the fullness to go away so I could eat some more. Those sessions were always full of guilt but it didn't stop me. It, for the most part just made me feel even worse so I would eat more... As for the guilt after being sleeved? That's a good question, I don't know if I've ever thought about it. I will first say I cannot eat as much to feel the extreme guilt that I felt before. But there is a sense of guilt when I make a poor food choice (like chips). And I still have a bit of a struggle with "wanting" to eat large amounts of food. Not that I do, because I can't! But I still feel that compulsion at night especially to eat. These are all things I work on and others may have to work on too.
  2. I'm in the USA. Los Gatos, California (It's 1:46 pm here on sunday )
  3. Haha! Math was never my strong point! It's Sunday evening there then?? (I'm assuming your over the pond somewhere) Lets keep it on tues day... I like the sound of Tuesday, Thursday. They are boring sounding days anyway!

  6. Lol a diaper wearing Laura! What a sight! I hope they make slim profile ones, I just lost all this weight and I'm not about to add bulk! My water is is always good everyday I aim for at least 80oz a day it's just something that happens now.. Amanda I had my panels done and almost everything is good but they did find some weird things involving my parathyroids I had a scan and I meet the the endocrinologist in a couple of weeks but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...
  7. I was thinking this is a first on VST we usually start a thread talking about something and by the end it always end up about food! This time it started with food and it turned into something else Oh by the way I'm still hungry!!! Hurry up Amanda!!!

  10. I'm so excited.... I don't want to brag but I'm also really excited we bought a convertible Porsche yesterday I'm thinking beach ride today. I spent most if the day yesterday driving it around WITHOUT my husband because I liked feeling kinda sexy (is that wrong) I wish I could leave him home today too! It's been so long since I've felt normal let alone sexy..

  12. I wonder how I would do on roller coasters these days... I haven't been on one since 6 weeks after surgery (went to Disneyland) but I'm dizzy ALL THE TIME now every time I get up these days the room spins. And everything goes black.
  13. Amanda I'm lazy... And hungry can you come over here and make me one??
  14. Janice... That last part of her post was something she's trying to put in her "signature" for all posts, I know this because she was trying to do it from her mobile but it came out looking like regular text... Not like my signature at the bottom of my posts. You know the "nothing changes" bit down there below. I told her to fix it because someone would think she was scolding at the end of her post!
  15. Girl I had to track you down!! I was just thinking about you It sounds like you are doing great! Yay!! You are so right being prepared and having a positive attitude is half the battle Put a little update on your "became real thread" Because I know PDX asked about you
  16. Homemade broth is so much better if you can make it or have someone else do it. Oh and some people seem to like the sugar free Popsicles. The fluid is the most important part if you get dehydrated you can end up back in the hospital! Try crystal light, mio drops, poweraid zero or things like warm tea. Plain water is a little hard to drink on the early stages.
  17. I haven't had any problems.... After I followed all of my stages in the beginning. And was released to all foods everything has been fine. I chose not to eat certain things but I could if I wanted.
  18. Not all of us lose hunger! It's an urban legend and when new people get the surgery and then think "what the hell I was promised no hunger" I want to ask who promised you that? We need fuel to survive your body will tell you when it's time. I think to expect that to disappear is a little odd... Yes your body for a time will produce less ghrelin but you will still have it. And over time it will increase again. It's ok to get hungry
  19. NOTHING FOR YOU!!!! Ok a little wine eventually as long as you are over 21
