  1. It's weird I usually take my weight off a couple of days after my fast days. I don't know why, it just works that way. Also I do not lose every week. If I hit a number and can "stick it" for a week or so, I'm good to go on the next number after that. I've had my Greek yogurt today and an ounce and 1/2 of chicken for a snack. I've got 300 calories left for dinner. I'm very tired and worn out today from yesterday so I'm just a big lazy slug.
  2. When ever I hear magnesium I think of the nasty magnesium citrate they made me drink before surgery... Is that the same thing?
  3. Your post reminds me of an thread some months back... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/69026-and-the-fanfare-fades/#entry696114
  4. Well don't weigh the first week or two after surgery! Because you will gain a few pounds. From the IV fluids and swelling. My stomach was massive (more than normal ) afterwards for about a week. I called it frankenbelly
  5. That's fine I drink Powerade zero it goes down much easier!
  6. Can you try drinking 1 oz every fifteen minutes? And are you drinking plain Water? Plain water is really hard at first you definitely want to add some drops of water enhancer!
  7. actually it's a good question... In the sense that i see a lot of people come out of surgery and get disappointed because they've only dropped X amount of weight since surgery. They then think its not "working" but you need to look at the weight you drop pre op too. If you lose, let's say 25 pounds right before surgery your body might need a "rest" before you dropped some more. It will come off, you will lose weight but its not like clock work. But as long as we have patience and follow the plan it will work
  8. Oh I think your asking something else! Yes you will still lose weight!
  9. The Atkins is an low carb diet, which I've read really helps on shrinking the liver.. So I'm assuming that's why he chose it. I would call and ask about any changes you want to make.
  10. The first week or two can be miserable. That said are you measuring out your fluid intake to know who much you are getting in a day? A lot of people don't do that and end up in the ER for dehydration! Best to avoid that if you can. It's hard to swallow yes but that will get better.
  11. Wow fiddle you got it coming out of both ends!
  12. Hehe.. Same here! I just bought bulk psyllium seed husks.. Still not working! I had issues before surgery with it, so not surprised that its still an issue.
  13. So sorry to hear about this set back. I hope that you have a speedy recovery and are released home soon!
  14. No game replied to viiki30's topic in The Lounge
Normal? I guess it depends on the person... I've not tried to eat a whole slice of pizza. Though I'm sure I could! (I'm nine months out) But at seven weeks out I'm sure some can and some can't and some don't.
  15. 105 after 4 months?? Wow, that's extraordinary that's for sure!
