  1. Yes, I read that post, and the study she was referring too. The link is so minimal and comes into play 20 plus years after the procedure. And the sleeve was done on patients with stomach cancer I believe? I'm not worried. We would have died a lot earlier from obesity anyway.
  2. ****! no I haven't tried them yet, good huh? Now I think I'm really in trouble. I would be the only girl in the world to gain weight eating bariatric food! Perhaps I should put a "warning label" on my original message. .....don't buy this **** if you have a eating or weight problem....
  3. I had a pretty big eating day yesterday! It felt like I was eating all day.. So I'm going to rein it in at least today because I feel very bloated. It doesn't help that I have about one bowel movement a week! I know tmi but its a fact of my life theses days! 0_o
  4. Just beware of the cookies! They are good... Yes I tried them already even though I just got them yesterday! I don't think I can be trusted with them so even though they have Protein? I can't buy them again.
  5. Boy has it been quiet in here today!!! We must all be eating
  6. There will be "newbies" everyday all day some will stay and become vets others will leave long before then... As far as reading and answering the same things everyday?? Meh.. Some compel you to answer some don't... As for honeymoon and weight melting off that's not every newbies experience either. So bothersome? No.. But it is nice to have the vets forum because its supposed to be just for the vets and not newbies asking newbie type questions..
  7. An easy dish for a Mexican soft dish is just some ground turkey with taco seasoning put with a little refried beans and a tad of cheese.. You can even have it in the purée stage if you out a quick blend on it.
  8. I have a 17 year old daughter... And what can I say, it's a selfish age. You are expecting something that she is not emotionally mature enough to give. Put that with the frustration I'm sure she feels because you are having it first?? Perfect storm! 17 year olds want everything now! Now! Now!! I know that knowing these things doesn't necessarily make it easier for you though... Don't stop what you are doing. Tell her you know how she feels, and you are not going to leave her behind. But you will need her help when you are recovering, and after you heal, you will be there to help her after she gets her surgery. Don't expect this conversation to go well.. But know that she will be listening and have faith that she will come through when you need her.
  9. Lol what can I say.... I really was pmsing when I ordered!
  10. I just noticed that you started at a 31 BMI and already down to a 27! At such a low BMI it might take a little more work to get it off.. At this point not only is alcohol bad for you, it's empty calories, push your protein and water and exercise and things will go fine.
  11. Girl I wanted to tear into those damn Cookies, but the stupid box showed up right after dinner (chicken on a bed of lettuce) I'm stuffed to the gills!
  12. Got my stuff today.... I'm a little nervous having that many treats around! Perhaps I should of ordered some Protein powder instead!!
  13. Also you can mix some unflavored protein in! Or sprinkle it on pizza just like parmigiana! Hehehehe...
  14. Ummmm...... Never mind.... Bump!
  15. Girl look down.... I know after my surgery I was so swollen. my stomach looked like frankenbelly for weeks that and the IV fluids, yes you will be up... I didn't step on the scale for over a week after surgery.
  16. From what I've read you have a the sleeve right? But a different type of sleeve than most of us.. You said he did a sleeve plication? I am confused about that part... So in a normal sleeve plication they fold and suture the stomach. But on yours he took out some stomach? Then stapled, folded and sewed? I don't know how that works, but perhaps that why your pain is so much more intense?
