Reaching 100% excess weight loss?
No problem. I was racking my brain as to which vets actually lost everything and remembered this thread. Losing everything is possible... But as the months pass you will have to work harder and harder to lose less and less unless your like a few of those freaks of nature that just dropped the weight "doing nothing" You really won't learn much from who is eating what calories because it works differently for all of us. Trail and error... and blood sweat and tears. Then keeping it off? Well we will never be able to eat like a naturally thin person. Our bodies will always be poised to gain the weight again. It can be done, but with eyes wide open.

Soup: its a liquid, its a solid, how do i eat it?
I love soup too. It is good to eat mostly the stuff in it (as opposed to the broth) though.. That way it stays a bit longer.

Girl I remember going in circles about this one. It's a solid that slides! It won't stay with you as long as a nice piece of meat. But hey when you need hot and sour soup you need hot and sour soup! Or wor won ton

WOW!?!
Sorry molls... I know it's hard I was losing a ton for a while there too. Go to the beauty supply and buy some toppic or other other brand of hair fibers they will at least make it look fuller until it starts coming back again. Or Xfusion http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001A7YGSY/ref=aw_2nd_sims_6?pi=SL500_SY115

Stomach Size After Two Years Out
I think it would be worth it... We have a vets forum here.... And I can tell you eating more is an issue to most of the vets. The whole stretching thing? Well I find the jury's still out not that some doctors tell you "It can't happen" others say "Oh yes it can" I tend to believe it can happen. Not out to the original size of course but enough that we have to be really careful about what we are eating for the rest of our lives...

Gym vent
Lol.. yes I'm serious about the Porsche! I'm 47 and just lost a bunch of weight! Some get a boob job and a tummy tuck.. Some get a car! But I'm not into make up Botox and gallons of perfume.. So I don't think I fit the bill of annoying gym person, I hope??? I do b***h but its because I'm lazy and just about die if I'm working out! I liken myself to a fat calf getting ready for the slaughter to become veal (no muscle tone)

Stomach Size After Two Years Out
Yes if they scope you they can see what's going on in there... You would probably have to get a referral from your surgeon for it. Have you brought up these concerns with your surgeon?

Stomach Size After Two Years Out
Drinking 11oz of protein shake is easy to do even at a year out..so I wouldn't worry about that. Are you measuring your protein to know the exact amounts? Although 6oz again isn't that uncommon. Snacking yes that's what starts to get most of us.. As our stomach relaxes we are able to fit a lot more in. So I would imagine at two years it's even easier to eat larger amounts. If you need snacks make them low carb protein or veggies. I can eat tons of carbs at a sitting (crackers chips etc) so it's about self control. If you think it's that bad though... Have you thought about having an upper GI to see what's going on?

Well how much protein (like chicken) can you eat in a sitting? 4oz? 6? Or more?

need more than a spoonfull :(
Oh I must say its plain Greek yogurt! So not sweetened. I do put a little stevia in it and because I'm further out and frozen blueberries too But newly sleeved people can do stevia (or splenda) with vanilla extract or some people like the sugar free torani (sp?) syrups.

Oh one thing about yogurt!! Greek yogurt that is... A lot of the big food companies are jumping on to the Greek yogurt train (new buzz word you know) and making fake Greek yogurt. Read your labels! Fage is real there are a couple of other brands too but I've not tried them all First I do 2% because I'm not opposed to a little fat in my diet. But the 0% tastes ok too, I just feel it doesn't stick with me that long ( I eat this as a meal not a snack) Things like Danon light and fit greek? Be careful with all the ingredients including cornstarch to thicken it (Not a true Greek yogurt) same with the yoplait Greek not true Greek it's milk Protein concentrates and Gelatin, bean locust gum to thicken....

Looking for advice
At 1200 calories a day you should easily make your Protein goals without the shakes... If i were you, I would start logging your food and stick to protein dense foods and veggies everyday The Water? 64oz should be your minimum. If I don't push my water, I don't lose. What did the upper GI say?

You need to make your meals count. You are early out so Protein shakes are still a viable option. Greek yogurt (Fage) has lots of protein per ounce also cottage cheese.
