Fish
Not sure if you have a trader joes around? But they have a great selection of fresh frozen fish... Tilapia is always a good choice of a mild fish and easy to prepare. Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia ingredients 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese 2 teaspoons paprika 1 tablespoon chopped flat-leaf parsley 4 tilapia fillets (about 1 pound total) 1 lemon, cut into wedges directions Preheat the oven to 400 degrees . In a shallow dish, combine the cheese with the paprika and parsley and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle the fish with olive oil and dredge in the cheese mixture. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake until the fish is opaque in the thickest part, 10 to 12 minutes. Serve the fish with the lemon wedges. Of course you can cut this recipe in half (I have kids and a husband)

- How was your 5:2 day today?
Wow that sounds good! I wished I lived closer to you I'd be stopping by on a regular basis My day at the beach included some bites of fresh baked, hot, garlic artichoke bread from Pescadero some wine and two cookies... Oh and some potato chips! Wow now that I'm writing it all out? It sounds even worse! I might need to wire my jaw shut to tame the carb monster tomorrow.- How was your 5:2 day today?

I think that being sleevers we just have to make certain concessions...I stop eating the night before at 7 and take my first "fast" meal at lunch time. Then snack at some point and dinner again before 7. Then the next day not eating usually until late morning or lunch time again. Yesterday I "saved" up most of my calories because I wasn't to hungry. Well having that many calories for me at one meal was impossible, because its straight Protein and veg. I would have to eat something that might not be as "healthy" ? So I think spreading those calories through out that 7 hour window is just going to have to work.- Low Cal Recipe Share Here
Georgia, I dry fry my tofu first to get the moisture out and crisp it up a bit then you can marinade . To dry fry, I cut up my tofu and SLOW fry it with no oil or butter on a non stick griddle or you can use a cast Iron pan. I fry it on a lower heat to get the moisture out and crisp it up. I buy mine at trader joes (extra firm) Also after you dry fry it you can do different things with it...like marinade in anything (it is tasteless so will soak up any flavor) and stir fry with veggies I like it marinaded sometimes but I will also eat it just straight from the fridge cold with hummus. .Simple, All-purpose Tofu Marinade: 1/2 cup Braggs liquid Aminos (for a salty, smoky flavor) Splash of rice vinegar 1/2 large sweet onion, diced 5 cloves garlic, crushed Water to cover Marinade a few minutes then cook with your veggies- Links to 5:2, research and related topics here
Georgia I suck at cooking! But I do make tofu I'll post in the recipe sharing section here how I dry fry it.- Whaddya mean no sweets?
For most of us and I'm talking about those of us that are further out.. say past the sixth month mark. Eating ice cream and cake, any kind of junk really becomes easy to do. There are ways to eat around the sleeve so it's important to get a handle on the emotional aspect too.- Whaddya mean no sweets?
