  1. Well I was sleeved at 46.. Do I feel 30?? No...,but I feel like a pretty good 47! I can't say surgery turned me into superwoman. But I'm a lot more active and moving around on life is so much easier!
  2. Wow HDubSleevery, Thanks for all the tips! I will ask about all the meds too, they already started me on a prescription of vitamin D a couple of weeks ago. But know I'm armed Witt more info and questions to ask.
  3. Good, I'm glad you get to go home. When your feeling a bit better let us know what happened, what they said?
  4. Aaron, How are you doing? Any updates..
  5. Haha! I just looked at my drivers license yesterday it says 170 but there is a big face of 235 staring back out at me there! How could they let me lie so bad!
  6. As I sit here drinking my half regular half decaf morning cup of joe.. I say wait and talk to your surgeon about it. I took up drinking it again (though only half strength) but I waited months! I also know that it's risky, dehydration and I went to a support meeting recently and talked to a woman that developed an ulcer (painful) and coffee might have been a contributing factor..
  7. MEN'S ROOM WOMEN STAY OUT! (Them's the rules)
  8. You look like a different person! Really! Not even the same man in that second picture! I see a happy healthy man in that second picture that looks like he has always been that way! Oh **** mans room... Go on "recycled" jump down my throat I messed up
  9. To her defense Lowe only started FOUR new threads about this deal, tsk tsk. Oh you mean the OTHER person, yes Molly don't talk to me about the cookies! I ate one yesterday ugh!!!
  10. It sounds like you would do very well calling a therapist, one that's deals with disordered eating preferably.. getting therapy through weight loss is crucial if you are dealing with eating disorders (which a lot of us are) Good luck to you, Laura
  11. Ok girls, oh so much going on here! I missed posting yesterday because I was at a ice cream social with my son held by his piano teacher. And yes I ate ice cream.... FYE, yes we are moving into a chapter of our lives that aging parents are becoming a factor. Your dad sounds like a strong independent person. I hope he's on the mend and up and around soon. Cheri, f**k meds! I hate them and I hate that they mess with our weight! I would be pissed too. I think I'm going to be in the same boat soon with this stupid thyroid. I will not be happy because I don't need anymore challenges on the weight loss front thank you... Coops! Hi! Welcome back! nice job only gaining a few pounds on vacation, hell I can gain that overnight! So you did good! And a bikini?? OMG! That's awesome!!! Swizzly, Fit bit I have one too! It's in a drawer and I've never learned how to use it How's that for lazy! Haha if I hook that thing up it would probably spend the day saying "move bi**h"! Hehehe... Daisy, Are you ok? Wow that sounds like a horrible fall! I hope you had a doctor look at you, if you start getting any headaches please go in. Globe, I've not eaten oatmeal, but I'm looking into getting some healthy grains in sometimes but I haven't figured out yet what. Ok, skinniness and sweetums. Stress its so strong right now for all of us I've noticed and food has taken its old place back for coping ugh! Ok everyone.. Now don't yell at me or kick me out of here.. But I've noticed a trend of trying to fast and well for whatever reason it just didn't work. Or we went 100 or 200 calories over. while yes we can always try another day... I propose that this week we just do it. Stick to our days and just do it! DON'T CURSE ME OUT!!! Oh and I was listening to a taped recording of Mosley (5:2 guy) and in this he said he eats Breakfast on fast days and puts almost 12 hours before dinner? I guess I was under the assumption that the eating window was more like 8 hours on a fast day? Anyway if you read this whole post? I admire you! With my attention span I would of started scanning half way through!
  12. San Jose! I live in Los Gatos but I had my surgery in San Jose (I just saw your other post about it) I'm a stomach sleeper too. The first week or so was hard because I couldn't lay on my stomach. For the most part I slept semi propped up.. I read that one or two people actually slept on their stomach right away, but for me the pain factor made it impossible.
  13. There are tons of revisions from band people here as a matter of fact they even have a sub-forum here. Good luck to you http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/forum/13-band-to-gastric-sleeve-revisions/
  14. Control? Yes I think that's part of it. I like giving my body a rest two days a week from the all day grazing we seem to do as sleevers (me anyway) Too... Oh yes I drink Water and sugar free drinks all day!
  15. Thanks girlie! I can use that... I'm feeling my age tonight
  16. Recycled it seems like whenever you come out of the men's room to post you piss of a whole lot of women (and men I'm sure)... You know when you finally get your surgery, you might understand where these people are coming from a bit more....
  17. Haha! I always tell my 17 year daughter if she doesn't pick up her room imma going to call hoarders on her ass! But what always works??? I say "ok if its not clean I will do it for you at some point this week when your not home, and I will go through EVERYTHING for you" (And I do) hehehe that gets her ass in gear
  18. Girl, clean that room! If I were your mama you'd get a paddling! Oh looking good so far (you, not that room, now go clean)
  19. anesthesiologists are almost always out of network... It's a tidy little business. Just google it. Patients are often surprised by bills after receiving services like anesthesia, pathology and radiology. Those specialists, who don't hang out a shingle and may not rely on ongoing relationships with patients, often avoid signing up with health plans in order to set their own rates. We have dealt with this many times call your insurance company and if they refuse to cover it call the biller of the anesthesiologist. Sometimes they will reduce the out cost.
  20. You know fiddle, I think the path to scaring myself this week with long term results started with reading that stupid comment from the doctor saying that people need a second surgery five years out... I started looking at my eating habits as of late... First I must say I eat well, Protein is my friend. But as I was telling butter yesterday. I will eat low calorie but.... I will make a LARGE volume a factor too. I will eat plain meat with plain veggies as not to add more calories with sauces and dressing so I can have MORE! Taste is not top factor for me, it was always about filling the hole. I am not opposed to pain. As a binger I would eat till pain then wait for it to subside then eat some more... So do you see where I was tripping about stretching? I've thought out loud here the last two days (sorry guys) with this thread. I really thought about what adjustments need to be made right now... Volume I need to be ok with not feeling pain as my full. And small thing but I noticed that I was drinking perhaps to soon after meals (barely 30 minutes) so I pushed it to an hour yesterday. It felt better and the food stayed with me a lot longer. So that's Laura's crazy thoughts for the day If you read this far, thank you.
