ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from Mrs.RRn in Feels Good to be a Size
I never ever thought when I started this whole process that it would be this easy to get down to a size 6. I am on my way to a size 2 which is exactly where I want to be.
My legs do not touch anymore, I feel great, I go go go. I love this life I was granted.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from KBlood in Its finally happening!
Congratulations,
Do not forget that you need to be up and walking every hour for 10 minutes. Do not be lazy about this.
It doesn't hurt. The only thing that "hurts" is the gas pressure and some people don't even have that. The more you walk the less gas pain you will have.
The first 48 hours are the toughest and each hour after you are in recovery it gets better and better.
Do not set yourself up for disappointment or failure. Your body will do what it needs to do on its own, Don't force anything.
Measure yourself and take photos weekly, When you come back and complain you are in a "stall" your actually not in a stall. You are probably losing inches or your body is shifting. A stall is nothing lost at all weight or inches in over 30 days.
You are going to do amazing.
I can't wait to see your journey.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve reacted to dfwtxmissy in Unexpected NSV - I'll take it!
You go girl! And I get excited when I still get carded at 50...LOL...
But seriously. The little victories that we win whether someone noticing us or we noticing the little things. I can feel the bones of my hips and I can wear necklaces that are shorter in length and I can feel my collar bones and my rings fit and my feet are shrinking. I can go on and on but I have to say the greatest thing is feeling closer to my husband when he holds me close.
You have inspired me to look closer at the little things we are going thru.
Please keep your stories coming.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from catnapper in Anxiety - Does it get better?
I got progessivly worse for me.
I started on a few Valium ( or a Valium family pill) a day to keep those in check.
I notice when I am feeling hot and sweaty and overly anxious and just not my calm self I have a large weight loss that week,
Fat cells are made up of not just fat, They are full of hormones notably progesterone and estrogen. when you are shrinking your fat cells ( they never go away) you are releasing much more than you realize.
Maybe you can get on a light anti depressant like celexa and a xanex or valuim to get you through those days.
Good luck

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from BigGirlPanties in Gastric Sleeve Experts... Please Chime In!
I personally wanted to lose 130 lbs to be 130lbs. I was never given a goal.
In 1 year I have lost 100 lbs. I have still been losing slow and steadily since I stopped working out reguarly.
I hope to lose 3-40 more lbs. However long it takes it takes.
An average is just that an average. Some people lose all the weight + and others do not lose any or very little ( see my 600lb life on tlc for instance)
Good luck.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from alanah in 13 yr old getting sleeve. Need recommendations in Mexico
I used Dr Ponce de leon and I am more than happy to refer you,
That comment of some so called surgeon in Mexico is 100% unasked for. The surgeons there are a hell of a lot better than any doctor here in the states. I told my husband that I would consider him, as he is a general surgeon as well, to treat our kids first before any so called doctor in the states.
So that poster canl stfu.
I say go for it. I paid$5500 and a cheap plane ticket. And my dear this was the easiest thing I have ever done for myself. Your kids will do great. Keep me posted!!!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from moorecr in Thinking about ...
That seems to be a great weight loss. its about 10 lbs a month. Its about average.
If you are really concerned and it seems as if you are, get back to day 1 and go back to liquids and start over. You know what you need to do!
Good luck

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from chicagirl in Will i ever be warm again?
Its a very common phenomenon. You may or may not ever be warm again like you used it. Its very hard for the body to regulate temp when you are losing so quickly. There is much more to your fat cells than just fat, Hormones have alot to do with this.
Best thing I can advise is get a little heater for your office and dress in layers.
Good luck,
and as I say these are skinny bitch problems LOL

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from MorganO87 in Kids stressing me out!
Divert and distract and in turn you divert and distract yourself from food,
Get in the car go find a huge box, make an airplane or castle, Get some crayons and draw pictures to put all over the frig,
Make a glitter Water bottle to settle her/his mind.
Go see the animals at petco
There are a million things to do to distract and divert!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from MorganO87 in How much of your stomach was removed?
Mine used a 36 boogie, I had 90% of my stomach removed, When I watched the video if my surgery and live leak test it looked like a long sharpie.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from ChavaBling in 7 days post op with lots of mental hunger
A. Its good that you recognize that!
B. Lets find a solution.
My solution to head hunger is this and you can use it or ignore me.
Set timer for 30 min.
realize that its not real, drink 8-10 oz of Fluid ( I personally cannot drink plain water)
Take a 15-20 min walk and distract, do you have a dog? They love these short walks.
Come back home drink another 8-10 oz of Fluid.< /p>
Solved! I can almost guarantee you are no longer "hungry" If you are its probably real hunger and have some lunch meat and cheese wraps and move on with your day.
I just realized you are on liquids! you will not really ever feel full until you are on solids. at this point distract yourself, do what i suggested above and instead of a meat and cheese roll up, eat popsicles and jello!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from Babypee49 in My face is "too thin!"? I'm still over 200 lbs!
Tel them to leave you alone, It probably looks thin due to the fact it was fat before.
Don't send any more photos you do not need the negitivity, you do what you want!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from KeeWee in Getting discouraged, losing focus
Obviously listen to your doctors and specialists, but if you really need to drop the weight in order for a surgery date go on a liquid diet.
Drastic times take drastic measures.
A lot of people have had to do this to get on the calendar.
Good luck.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from 4RE4ME in Not enough information before sleeved
I didn't have any special classes. I did all my research at the tips of my fingers on top of common sense.
Let's not be a victim and get your info on your computer and on this site. Its a great place to start!
