  1. That's exactly how I've felt...I was sleeved Nov 5. It's just now starting to get better for me. Totally normal to mourn food after surgery. I knew it would be an emotional adjustment but nothing prepared me for the initial shock of missing food/normal amt of food SO much! I think after a few months and weight is down some it will feel worth it. But I'm not gonna lie...the past few weeks I've had a lot of doubts of whether I made the right decision and whether life will be harder now. I feel absolutely ridiculous sitting down to eat with my family or at a dinner party and having 2 oz of food in front of me when everyone else has heaping plates.

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

I was sleeved Nov 5. Lost about 20 lb during the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. When i weighed in at my 2 week post-op appt I had only lost 3 more lb :/ And my blood pressure has been much higher than usual. I'm hopeful things will turn around!

    Help! This Is Not Working.

I understand! I lost about 20 lb in the 2 weeks preop but only lost 3 lb post-op when I weighed in 2 weeks after my surgery. I'm not sure if that's "normal" or what! Good luck and keep up the good work! "Nothing good comes easy..sometimes you've gotta fight."
  4. Reading "Eat It Up!: The Complete Mind/Body/Spirit Guide to a Full Life After Weight Loss Surgery" by Connie Stapleton. It's awesome!
