You could be gaining muscle mass and losing fat inches. Have you measured yourself lately?

I use dreamfield Pasta it is low carb. taste like regular pasta. It says on box only like 5 gram carbs or something close to that. I do know it doesnt run my blood sugar up like regular pasta does. So it must be very low carb.

Such good info here! I am happy to report that I bought a suit and will begin Water aerobics in our faculty fitness program at the university I work at when spring term starts. It's only $65 for the 10 weeks, and three weekly sessions that are an hour long. Seems quite reasonable! I can't wait!

I found yesterday Water aerobics seem to be working on stomach muscles in lower part of stomach. I could feel it when I was in water working out. It was just like old school exercise in water. Yesterday was first class ever so we will see. Worth a try though.

I was truly obsessing on my daily weigh ins. I thought enough is enough.
A watched pot never boils and a watched scale never moves down.
After two weeks, finally got on and dropped four pounds.
I don't know if this is a passing occurrence, but for today, I am pretty happy.

You should be totally fine. By four months you can eat pretty much anything but celery and coconut. Go for it! Make sure to savor every bite!

I was cleared several months ago to eat pretty much any fruit and I am 5 months out. I would think that you should be fine but it is best to see what your NUT says and follow their plan. I am a fruit-a-holic now! LOVE IT! Hope you can get some soon!

I know it can be discouraging. I am actually at my goal weight, and I have been for a number of months now. I find it a little frustrating because I have a lot of skin, especially on my stomach (2-8lb babies, a c-section and over a 120lb weight loss). I really want plastics, but I cannot afford it at the moment either, and won't be able to for a couple of more years yet. There are days that I get down because I have come so far with the weight loss, but still feel fat because of all the hanging skin. On the positive side, it is fairly easy to hide. And like someone had said on another post a while ago, I might look like an 80 year old naked, but with clothes on I look 25! Despite the frustrating days, I am still more happy with my body than I ever have been in my life and do not regret having this surgery done. I will take the lose skin over the extra 120 plus pounds any day!

You can gain and lose up to about 5 pounds in one day. Defiantly ditch the scale. Go by your clothes. That's how I did it. I weighed only once a month after I figured this out. On the clothes I know that when I started I was a size 24-26 and now I am in a 10! Don't need a scale to tell me that I lost a person! Lol

My dr and nut say count half of the Protein Shakes as liquid. I like that compromise. So a 12 ounce shake counts 6 ounces towards Fluid goal.

I count Protein Shakes as Fluid, especially in the beginning. Now that I'm 4 months post op I carry around my water bottle which holds 28 oz of fluid and I make sure to drink 2 of those a day (equaling 56 oz of fluid). I also drink 1 to 2 Protein shakes a day and mix them with milk. I also drink Water during the night also. We've always been told to count our protein shakes toward fluids. I get in about 100oz a day.

I am just in a "plain" Water aerobics class three days a week for 1 hour, and that costs $40 a month. When my husband deploys overseas, we get a free family YMCA membership. I checked the website and it looks like they have many classes every day, including Aqua Zumba and different levels of classes. I'm really looking forward to trying that...if I can do a lot of classes, maybe it will make the time go faster.

I can't say enough about Water exercise. Those who try it will find it really is good for firming as well as weight loss and it takes all your pain away while you are in the water. I had 8 vertebrae fused in my spine and I don't think I would be walking without that type of exercise. I have a monitor I purchased at WW last year, you can actually use it in the water. I plan to use it after the surgery although I have to pay for the e-tools in order to use it, but when I reach goal weight the tools will be free because I am an old lifetime member. So instead of 20 ish it will only be 5.00. Good luck to all of you who try water exercise.

That is good. I didnt have to lose any before surgery. I did lose 6 pounds before surgery that I didnt try to lose. I have lost 60 pounds since surgery I was sleeved Oct 8 2012. I want to lose about 55 more pounds. My surgeon was fine with my goal which is 125 pounds. I am where I was at in 1997 before I had hysterectomy. I have about 35/40 pounds to be where I was at when I met hubby in 1991, but I want to lose more than that. I still have more inches than I had in 1997 though. I was always scared of Water until I have got older. I cant swim, but thinking of taking lessons.

So I was in for my monthly waxing yesterday, up on all fours when the gal rests her hand on my tush and comments that it's really firming up! We'd been talking about exercise and that I'd been back on the treadmill and had started to run so it wasn't entirely out of context but we both dissolved into fits of giggles. I still laugh when I think about it! Well, at least it's firming up, right!? =)

I agree! I really can't get my head around why all the shenangan's some go through, hiding what you eat, the concocted stories about what surgery you had. Any time you have to put that much effort into something to benefit others it is in my opinion unnecessary stress. Oh, Snapper is a very tasty fish.

I find it so amusing how far people go to look like they are eating more. It seems odd to me.
I'll tell you, I've been to several lunches with customers & as a customer. Also as a business meeting. Honestly I've never experienced anybody paying any attention to how much anyone else eats (well, maybe if someone were eating for 3 people).
I'd recommend ordering exactly what you'd like, and request your server box 1/2 of your meal before it is brought to the table.
