  1. Atkins protein bars taste good. They have different flavors. One even taste like a baby ruth candy bar. You are also getting protein with these little bars. If I take that sweet urge which has only been a couple of times I grab one of these. I bought them for the purpose of extra protein. I found they kill the sweet urge, and give the extra protein I need plus one small bar makes me extremely full for hours alot of times I cant finish a complete bar.
  2. My mouth has a funny taste in it. Almost like I have been sucking on something. It is a nasty taste and nasty feeling. Started after I started the gym last week. Got really bad this week.

  7. protein helps build muscle and also helps with the hair loss. I hope if I am wrong someone will correct me,but that is what I am understanding if that helps.
  8. Have any of you tried atkins bars? They are low carb. some are high in protein also. If I really get to wanting that sweet taste which is not very often. I get one of these bars. They are very filling. I loved sweets before surgery, but since surgery I dont eat them and very seldom do I have that urge. I hope it stays that way
  9. I loved shrimp before surgery they are not as good anymore. Last week I found a Cappuccino Nectar Protein I liked this week it doesnt taste as good.
  10. I cant eat hot dogs not even fat free ones. Stuff that use to taste good dont taste as good any more. No sugar for me either.
  11. go get some loaded potato soup. It will change calorie intake, move more. Increase protein all those things help break a stall. As long as you are seeing inches going you are still losing. The scales can be and will be your enemy
  12. Has anyone else had trouble with taste buds changing. Mine seem to be changing daily. Stuff I liked a week ago doesnt even taste the same. I am 8 weeks post op
  13. My type 2 diabetes has cleared up so far. The morning of surgery my sugar was 301. Friday morning it was 90. I check it sill on occasion and it has never been over 128. That was 8 weeks ago.
  14. I was told I had fatty liver. I still had my surgery. Surgeon only had me on liquids for 2 days. They did find it had turned to Cirrhosis. They said it will probably leave a scar on liver, but should heal itself being the liver heals itself. We will see in January when I see a specialist for it. They can't tell what kind of shape the liver is really in until the do surgery.
  15. I love it. It taste like regular pasta. Another thing it doesn't run my blood sugar up. Regular pasta runs my blood sugar sky high. Dreamfield pasta don't.
  16. I take ambien still only sleep about 6 hrs then up for 2 hrs, then back sleep for an hour or two. THen I take about 45 min during the day. To re-energize
  17. I guess it is up to Dr. I didnt have one. They made me get up the same day and walk. I went home the next day
  18. I stalled at 2 weeks post op and stayed there for 4 more weeks. It will start to come off again. Scales are your enemy. As long as you are losing inches and dropping clothes sizes you are still doing good. Don't worry. Dr told me I was doing great even after hitting the stall. I was told to get me some loaded potato soup. I bought mine from Sam's Club. Some restaurants sale it also. It does change the calorie intake up and then you start losing again.
  19. I have done taco bell beans since right after surgery. One of the first things I wanted. I never liked taco bell before surgery.
  20. I hit the stall at 2 weeks out. I was told to go get some loaded potato soup I got some from Sam's Club It helped break the stall. It was actually also good. That is something I have never cared for. Try some it changes your eating up. I was told some restaurants have it also.
