I was told years ago that I had a fatty liver.....I was concerned but I lost 40 lbs prior to surgery and I did 1 week of liquids prior to surgery....my surgeon said everything looked good.

Same as Kim. As long as you do your pre-op work, you should be ok.

I was told I had fatty liver. I still had my surgery. Surgeon only had me on liquids for 2 days. They did find it had turned to Cirrhosis. They said it will probably leave a scar on liver, but should heal itself being the liver heals itself. We will see in January when I see a specialist for it. They can't tell what kind of shape the liver is really in until the do surgery.

I had fatty liver pre op and everything went well. I am one year post op and I have no longer fatty liver. Good luck!
