I'm not at goal yet but have lost more than 60% of my excess in 71/2 months. I have 2 close friends who were sleeved a year before me and both have lost 100%!

Fortunately for me, no one tells me things like that. I'm stubborn and hard headed and nobody can tell me how to live my life. Just tell them this is what you're doing. You've made up your mind. "I'm sorry you feel that way and hopefully you'll get over it!"

It may seem slow but 38 pounds in 3 months is a little over 12 pounds a month! If you look at the big picture. I've lost 82 pounds in 7 1/2 months. I started at 296 too now I'm 214! I had a month of no weight loss and a couple of months with 3-5 pound loss. You're doing great just roll with it! Good luck!

It took me 6 months to like water again. Before surgery that's all I drank. All day everyday! I peed like every 30 minutes! Haha. I hope you find something you like! Good luck!

I feel the same way!!! I'm down 80 pounds and still feel incredibly fat! I think I've always seen myself the way I look now. No matter what weight, how I look now is how I've always seen myself. Does that make sense? Plus I'm proportionate, so my body looks the same, just smaller. I'm losing weight all over equally. I really hope I see the smaller me soon! Good luck to you!!!

Baha I know. I was just being a turd! Actually, on another site, they have groups for each Mexican doctor. It was really helpful because it's hard to find info on Mexican doctors through an online search.

I don't really understand this thread either. I had planned to go to Dallas as well. With all the research and posts from people nice enough to write detailed experiences, I decided to pay half the price to take a Mexican vacay! I was never asked to promote my doctor or asked to not write anything bad about him. When I was pre op I obsessed over reading those posts and genuinely appreciated them! Are you angry you paid so much? What's the issue? Most of those threads are posted in the Mexico forum anyway. Since you were sleeved in the US why are you even reading those posts? You've really caused a stir on this site the past week. It's weird because usually you're so positive from what I've seen. It's like someone hacked your screen name or something. What's up?
