  1. I don't know much about pregnancy with the sleeve, but my cousin had her first a 39! You're still young enough to give it a year or two. My BFF will be two years out in October and is due to have a beautiful baby boy August 2nd! She'll be 30 in November. She's doing great! Good luck to you!
  2. It's likely to be watsr retention. Are you about to start your cycle?
  3. I realize how important it is now during weight loss. Especially after 6 months when you can eat a lot more! Planning is a good idea, I'll try to do that too. I was watching a Chris Powell video online and he suggests eating every 3 hours. I'm going to start packing almonds, grapes, cheese, etc in Ziploc bags. He also suggested a "fun day" each week where you don't worry about calories to boost the metabolism. I'm going to do this starting tomorrow! Good luck everyone and congratulations on all of your success!
  4. You shoulda just said, "you snooze you lose, sucka!"
  5. I want in! SW: 296 CW: 206 Labor Day : 196 I want to lose 10 pounds and be under 200!!!!! I'm so excited!
  6. Ok, I'm back on MFP! Add me Nicolanz27!
  7. So happy for you, Kallie!!!
  8. So really the fit bit detects movement of the device, right? No actual sensors? I wonder how accurate it is. The bodymedia has a monthly subscription but has actual sensors on it? I'm interested in getting something like this but don't care to buy an upgraded pedometer!

I ate shrimp as soon as I could with no problems! Its high in protein!
  10. Vain? Maybe. Crazy? Yes! The hair comes back! Plus, you may not even lose it! It's worth the risk if you ask me.
  11. I don't have a weekly average. I've lost about 11 pounds a month, but haven't lost every month. Sonce I'm 8 months out, down 90 pounds .....that's where I get that number. It's so sporadic, don't get discouraged!
  12. I love muscle milk the ready to drink shakes. I don't really do protein shakes any more but I buy the 4 pack to use in my coffee. If the powder tastes like these, they're really good.
  13. I've never had acid reflux until being sleeved!
  14. Interesting. I've never heard of that. I'll look it up!
  15. Yea, long term maintenance worries me too. That's why it's important to gain healthy habits during weight loss. I still have 40 pounds to go so I'm going to focus on that for now! Congratulations to everyone for their success! Denn, how tall are you? I wouldn't exactly say not exercising is hindering the number on the scale, but it's not contributing to a healthy lifestyle either. It's crazy that your doc would say that. Don't let that discourage you! Good luck!
  16. I have to admit, while researching the sleeve that number concerned me! I wanted to lose 100%! I personally know 2 people who have lost 100% and one had trouble losing too much! The other is 8 months pregnant and was flaunting her cute little belly in a bikini yesterday. I'm 8 months out and have already lost 70% of my excess. For those still researching, don't let that number discourage you! I don't know how they came up with it! Seems like most lose more than that!
  17. Omg! I just realized how sarcastic and rude my previous post sounded! I'm so sorry. What I meant was, I've had 5 guys once and it was greasy and delicious! Haha. But early out, greasy food made me really sick. Also, ground beef in the form of a patty or meatball was a little hard on the sleeve. I'm sure you'll be able to handle beef it might just take a while. Everything is trial and error right now. At 8 months out I don't have problems with any foods.
  18. Hey Gojo! We all understand why you're having the surgery, we have the same reasons! Unfortunately, there's a stigma against wls and those who've never had weight issues really don't understand. Not too many people knew I was getting it done before I got it done. My husband was unsupportive and I just didn't talk to him about it. I knew this is what I had to do and he wasn't going to talk me out of it. He's 1000% supportive now. My aunt tried to spew her negativity behind my back but my dad shut her down quick! You're doing this for you and no one else! This is a great place for support and we understand what you're going through! Good luck!
  19. I'm sure it was the incredible amount of grease that made you puke.
  20. When was Nioxin bought out? I didn't hear about that!
  21. Oh yea I forgot to say chicken stock! All of these sound delish!
  22. I don't measure anything but here's how I make it: Make the quinoa with garlic powder, thyme, smoked paprika, and oregano I had left over grilled onions and asparagus chopped it up. Diced raw red onion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and add it all to the cooked quinoa. Drizzle it with olive oil and champagne vinegar and put it in the fridge until cold. So delicious! It'd probably be good with chopped cilantro or parsley too.
  23. Hit send too fast..... it does dry your hair out some so I would suggest alternaing it with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner or use a leave-in conditioner.
  24. It helped me. I know because it slowed my hair loss and about a week after I ran out, my hair was falling out by the handfuls again!
