November 2012 sleevers- 6 months out. How are you doing?
I like the Jillian Michaels workouts because she does circuit training and you work out two big muscles at a time. Example, squats with bicep curls. Her ripped in 30 is 3 minutes of strength training, two min cardio, and one min abs for 3 circuits. It's really hard at first but you get strong quick.

Seeking support
Hey Patti! Congratulations on getting the ball rolling. I too am a food addict and still struggle everyday. The difference now is I can't eat enough for 3 people anymore! I'm still working on my issues but it gets better everyday. The best thing I've encountered up until now is having energy to live my busy life, being able to exercise without feeling I am going to die, being the smallest I've ever been as an adult, being overall happy and more outgoing, and of course all the complement I get! I don't hide anymore! There is no worst part for me except I need to get my gallbladder removed. I'll take that over being morbidly obese any day! Good luck to you and come here for support. There are some amazing people on this site!

November 2012 sleevers- 6 months out. How are you doing?
Hello everyone and congratulations on your success! I was sleeved November 3rd and am down 76 pounds! I just started working out this week with my collection of Jillian Michaels DVDs and I feel great! It's amazing how being smaller makes exercise much easier! Not saying it's easy by any means but I am able to get through a whole workout without stopping. Today, everyone I came in contact with said something about my weight loss. It's really paying off!

Not enough calories?
- I just exercised :p
You are lucky and I'm jealous! Living in Texas, I don't get to see them much. But when I do, I could just stare at them all day! Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and California are my favorite places to visit. Hopefully one day I'll live in one of those states!- Sierra Nevada Big Foot Ale
Darn it!!! I promise I'm not doing that on purpose!- MUFAs - beautiful, tasty fats!
Very true and great post!- Sierra Nevada Big Foot Ale
Beer doesn't give me any trouble, but those sound delicious! Thanks!- I just exercised :p
I worked out today too! My whole body still hurts from my workout on Wednesday but I pushed through. While I was doing those crunches where you touch your elbow to the opposite knee, I slammed my knee not realizing how easy it is now!- 3 weeks post op still cant hit 1000 calories
I agree with everything Fiddleman said. That was my schedule too.- Running fever
What?!? How far out are you?- Anyone else considering sleeve with BMI ~32
Yes! I have a bmi of 32 or 33 can't remember, but I would have this surgery if I started at this weight.- Bikini Pic - share yours!
You look hot! But ummm I don't even look good on a one piece! Maybe one day......I'll just share your excitement for now!- So, how happy are you?
Well I have two small boys and my happiness level changes by the minute! Haha! Overall, I have nothing to be unhappy about except for constant car issues and gallbladder problems I'm having at the moment. Sometimes I just want to run away and sleep for two days straight! Even with all of that, I'd say my happiness level is around 8. Everyday struggles with the sleeve, eating right, seeing the scale move, not seeing the scale move is all an exciting challenge. I love it! I even appreciate rough days because easy is boring. I love to overcome challenges and I feel like I'm accomplishing something. I'm totally rambling now.....but yea.....I'm pretty happy with my new life!- Long term Mexican surgeries success?
I was afraid to tell mine too. Once I did she was extremely happy for me and checked my blood. What a relief!- 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
Thanks Amie!! I'm going to keep at it.- 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
Ok fiddleman, I almost died tonight! I'm more out of shape than when I was 280 pounds! How sad! I gotta get back to a routine!- Wife is Upset
I'll bet money she'll lose weight and pick up your healthy habits. Maybe plan some physical activities y'all can get into when you're all healed up!- Wife is Upset
The divorce rate is incredibly high with or without surgery. She's scared, bottom line. My husband did the same thing. Totally supportive until 4 weeks before surgery. Too late! I had my deposit paid and plane tickets. Plus I was extremely excited for my new life. When I got home he was incredibly happy to see I made it out alive and totally supportive. Matter of fact, he can't keep his hands off of me! Reassure her you'll love her no matter what. If your relationship is strong now, I don't see it changing .....well, maybe for the better. My husband and I are happier than we've ever been. If your wife needs the surgery too maybe y'all can get that ball rolling as well. Good luck!- 12 week Transformation challenge for vets
Okay I have the Jillian michaels ripped in 30 and Kickboxing. I have to work out at home, so I'll do that instead. Starting tonight!- Chick Fila grilled chicken wrap
