  1. Congratulations! I'm 6 months out too. At 3 months my hair fell out more than usual but never got thin. I eat lots of protein, take a multivitamin, and use Nioxin shampoo. My hair falls out a normal rate now. Hopefully, I'm safe! I've lost 75 pounds!
  2. I do when its that tine of month so thise are my days I splurge. It has kept me out of stalls. I eat very good for the rest of the month. When I say splurge I don't mean go crazy but I take in a few extra calories.
  3. Me!!! I've been over 250 for at least 12 years and I'm only 29! I have 21 pounds until 199! I'm so excited!
  4. That's cool, Serendipity. I wasn't trying to start an argument. I've heard the same information from several sources, that was just a quick find that repeated everything I've heard about diet cola specifically. Like I said someone may not know that and have an addiction to it. They may think twice about having another one. Thanks for posting the link!
  5. I've been trying to take a probiotic but its hard to remember with all these pills I have take! I'll ry yogurt too!
  6. I'm applying for the nursing program in the fall! Reading all of your posts has made me very excited! My scores are very high so I hope I get in. Thanks for starting this thread!
  7. People are just putting information out there that maybe someone isn't aware of. No need to get defensive about the facts. Chemicals un crystal light and sf jello doesn't change anything about diet soda which is what this particular thread is about. I'm on my phone so I can't copy the link but for anyone interested, if you Google, "is diet soda better for you" there's a good article by Mark Hyman in the huffington post. I'm not shaking my finger at anyone who wants to drink it, just relaying what I've heard about the subject.
  8. Well, 2 outta 3 ain't bad! I haven't tracked in a week. I feel normal! I don't obsess anymore but I do still weight my protein ( I pretty much have nutritional values memorized) to make sure I'm getting enough. I think for most, tracking is important!!! But for now, I'm not going to.
  9. I started getting nauseous about 4 months ago. I also got an iud around the same time so I thought that was the cause. Maybe it's due to the h. Pylori! I think I've had it for about 4 months. Thank goodness for the gallbladder attack or I may have not found it until something horrible happened!
  10. What were your symptoms? I found out after getting blood tests for my gallbladder issues. Its full of stones too! Lol I'm falling apart!
  11. Soda is not good for you not even in moderation, in my opinion. It's so addicting, full of sugar, and if it's diet I forget the science behind it but the chemicals cause you to gain weight. The chemicals in diet soda are also addicting. If you can, stay away! To answer your question, I would say never! Good luck ans stay strong!
  12. What the eff?!?! I have it! Don't know how long but now I'm taking horse pills to get rid of it! Anyone else deal with this post op? Good news is all my Vitamin levels are on point with an overload of B12. Guess I don't need B12 supplements anymore!
  13. Haven't even started a pile yet......
  14. Oh yea, I forgot to add the safety issue. I'm tall and have always been overweight. I feel like that has been a reason nobody messes with me! I too think about what will happen when I get to goal! Self defense classes sound like a great idea!
  15. I think at any weight, we're seen as "sex objects" haha! I used to go out a lot before I had kids and drunk men hitting on you is the worst! You do have to become somewhat of a b***h to get your point across. As I'm losing weight, I do notice women acting differently. Like pointing out my flawa rather than being happy for me. I only surround myself with positive people but I do have to deal with jealous coworkers and clients. It's okay though, they don't bring me down. I think when you gain confidence and security in yourself, the social aspects fall into place. It might be new territory to have people notice you and it will take time to get used to, but enjoy it. Love yourself and let that personality shine! If social issues are due to abuse, counseling might be helpful. Enjoy life to the fullest and don't let others dictate how you live it!
  16. You're not the only one who has started a thread like this and you won't be the last. The questions asked on this forum will still be the same.
  17. Giiirrrrrl, me too! I still have my 22s but I like to see how far I've come. I'm packing stuff up for goodwill this weekend!! We should have a get rid of your fat clothes weekend!
  18. My only regret is not trying to lose weight or eat healthy pre op. Once I had my date set, I ate so much that I gained around 10 pounds! I recommend taking the pre op very seriously so you'll be that much closer to goal. No need for food funerals.
  19. If you're upset about 5 pounds lost in one week, this whole process is going to send you into a horrible depression! Haha! Celebrate!
  20. I have a cup every morning with Mootopia milk and one packet of Truvia. I sit out on the porch drinking my cofee and enjoying the birds chirp before I start my day!
  21. Yes! I know that feeling and it's a damn good one!
  22. Lettuce wraps are so good too. They are usually on tge appetizer menu.
  23. Wow, Linda! That's awesome! Don't mess up the streak now!
  24. My husband and I love curry! Thai and Indian. We used to go every Tuesday for curry now we make it at home. I'd love to try something new!
