Girl this is my life! Except I was 226 the day of surgery, & when I got down to 150 in the past, I was almost starving myself. You can get below 170!!

I agree, suggesting an affair is not good advice. If it is that bad and you still love her then seek marriage counseling. Affairs only end up causing heartache for everyone and is a cowards way out. If you are unhappy, be a man (or woman, as the case may be) and either fix it or face up to reality that it can't be fixed and it is time for both of you to go your separate ways.

Ftomivec, sounds like its time for you to spice things up in the bedroom and some romance back in. Honestly, while men seem to want it whether they are getting it or not, if woman aren't getting it, they tend to not miss is. But, when we are, the more we get it, the more we want it! Maybe some candlelight, music and roses are in order, or a visit to the local adult toy store. Anything new and different can be just what it takes to liven things up in the bedroom.

I agree, it's kind of a part of oral...it's awkward not to do it and it's really not that bad as long as the guy is clean and healthy. They do all kinds of stuff for us sexually so I think we owe them. Plus, I love making him happy...it's the best part and it's kind of like winning. You conquered it and it gave you a present

Two versions to help you feel good about your progress!

Being one that has been denied, keep believing that it can, no, WILL happen for you. Not sure about your company, but if they submit and you are denied appeal to HR for an exception. Try peer to peer. Appeal every level. Go to external review. If your docs and surgeon think this is needed, then they will help you fight. I'm waiting for my external appeal decision. If they say no I'm pulling from my 401k and heading south of the boarder.
Lindstrom can help with appeals. Check your states medicade program to see if you qualify. Look into grants to help fund the surgery. Call your insurance and ask what comorbidities qualify.

I don't have BCBS. I have UHC. I'm starting to believe that stands for undeniably hellish company. :-/
My plan doesn't consider comorbidities. Only 5 years at 40+ BMI or no dice. Oh and I learned it has to be consecutive. So I have been playing the appeal game and finally went to external review. Now I pray the IRO agrees with me.
I will keep my fingers crossed that you get quick approval.

OMG!!! The gas nearly killed me the first night after surgery I'm glad that's over. It's day 2 after surgery and I'm glad to be headed home!!!!

So I got a called from carewise today hoping it was good news. The Medical Director has reviewed my case finally. They asked me about being on an antidepressant and who prescribed it. I have been in it for 4 years. Well since my Eval by the social worker says I am not depressed, the medical director sees that as conflicting information and has ordered me to have an evaluation by a psychologist. Once they have that Eval then I am approved. At first I was very upset but now that I have calmed down, I am ok with it. At least I know this is finally going to happen but not as soon as I had hoped. I am hoping to have surgery by mid January.

Hello, I have United Health Care and my plan required I had a BMI >35 for 5 years with 2 co morbidities. My BMI was not quite over 35 for 2 out of the 5 years so I was denied. Dr. Gregg Jossart in San Francisco agreed to fix my hernia and let me self pay for the sleeve. I will sign a contract with the hospital where we agree I only have to pay $5,000. $2k to Dr. Jossart and $3k to hospital facility. My surgery is scheduled for Dec. 18th.

I'm with you, dreams, it's very confusing. I also have UHC but ***. My problem is that no one, not the UHC, not my medical group, nor my surgeons office can tell me, without a doubt, if I need the 6 months PCP visits. I've had the same PCP for over 15 years. I've also had my own psych for 6. My psych is writing her own letter and I'll be asking my PCP to write one also hopefully waving my last 2 months of PCP appointments. I feel my own psych knows me better than theirs and also my PCP has seen me for so long. I'll keep my fingers crossed for approval but my surgeon seems to think I'll be ok. Fingers crossed..

No disrespect, but not exactly entirely true. I am Director of Human Resources for a large multi-bank financial instituion, and we are obliged by law to keep any and all medical information we acquire private. That includes information obtained verbally or in written form, from what is included on insurance applications to that learned from doctor's excuses, FMLA forms, insurance claims reports, etc. We even have to disclose to employees in writing why we need such information and what we do with it, and what we do to protect it.
However, I do not know if such restrictions apply to small employers, but I would think so.

I actually don't think it is legal for him to ask you those questions because it violates HIPPA Laws and your health privacy. Your privacy is guaranteed.

111 pounds gone FOREVER! I am 10 pounds passed my original "goal"! I have NEVER felt so amazing & am so in love with the new me!
HOWEVER, there is one VERY BIG problem-- I am now a SHOPAHOLIC hahaha! My hubby has decided to pull the purse strings a little tighter, because I seem to get carried away! This is coming from the girl who HATED, & I mean HATED to shop! I would get anxiety and usually cry in the dressing rooms! There was actually a few times that my husband would come into the dressing rooms to try to encourage me & keep me in good spirits- NOW, he refused to come shopping with me because I fall in love with everything I try on LOL! He says "i'm not needed for moral support anymore" & he is right! AHHH, what a FABULOUS year!
