  1. Last time I could move like that was coming out the womb
  2. That's funny! I used to tell my kids.. Come on we're going to lunch and take them to Costco for the samples. lol... It's still a family joke OP.. I used to stop at Whole Foods in the am and grab a salad to take to work. I love their cubed chicken. Not sure how they cook it, but find it yummy. I'm not ready to eat salad yet, but I agree that it's a great deal.
  3. You're right! The summers here make up for the dreary rain. It rarely gets to hot to enjoy the summer days in the sun and everything is always healthy and green. Definitely have the four seasons here..
  4. Me too.. Couldn't be happier with EVERYTHING involving Dr Ponce
  5. Welcome Jeff and glad you've joined. Prayers to on your surgery and good luck on your journey to a healthier life
  6. Stuck in several week stall. 167lbs Maybe next time I'll weigh nekkid.. Or if I get real desperate donate an organ and claim that weight loss
  7. Oops I sent before I finished. You will need to adjust your Fiber intake until it works for you. Obviously, you don't want to over do the fiber or you'll have more than gas I thinking your far enough out of your surgery to include a healthy serving of flax seed in your food without it bothering your consumption amount. It goes good in yogurt, shakes, salads...pretty much anything.
  8. Yep, I remember this chapter from my college nutrition class. A high protein - low carb diet can cause more dietary protein to reach the colon and result in increased fermentation ... And therefore cause those nasty-smelling- room-clearing - farts that your family tends to despise :-)
  9. I can't imagine! I had to force myself to sip broth. My dr only permits broth and icypopcycles for free at the hotel. Probably a good thing from what the OP mentioned some do to themselves"
  10. I don't recommend the wheelchair because walking will be your new bbf. It may be tough and uncomfortable, but it's probably for the best. It's important to get the gas out from surgery and since you will be sitting for some time you need to keep blood flowing when you can.
  11. WOW.. You have done an awesome job! I can appreciate the work you must have done to get where you are.. Amazing!
  12. Everyone loses wait at different rate Ok, I just wrote that to make myself feel better after reading everyone's rate. I had a minute of self pity, but it's past. I'm just happy I'm sleeved without complications and well on my way to a healthy life.
  13. LOL... 60lbs?!? Holy cow, last time I could lift 60 lbs was, well... Never! Yes, I suggest you take more time than most. Good luck and enjoy all the time off.
  14. Wow... So glad your survived. How awful for not only you, but your family :-/ This posts helps to remind us that no matter when our surgery was, its important to pay attention. Jane... We're the attending drs always aware of your vsg? Again.. So glad you're better, and looking hot to boot, too! :-)
  15. Yes, I had a 2 week 15-20lb limit
  16. I work in the Seattle area, but permanent home is Near Wenatchee in Central WA. So it's either rain during the week or snow on weekends.
  17. Ok.. Technically, I could say y'all are being mean now. I live in the Pacific Northwest so you can imagine what all this sunshine and beach talk is doing to me :-P
  18. I took 3.5 weeks off and like above I got so bored I was going crazy and wasted money shopping and running around. Everyone is different after surgery so it's best to arrange a good amount of time and have enough over not enough
  19. This reminds me of what my sister-in-law said to me once... With chasing kids all day you'll be able to lose weight. Gotta love in-laws :-)
  20. That is awesome to hear.. You're on yourway to such a healthy happy life again. Congrats!
  21. Prayers for you and yes.. You are in brilliant hands! Also, do try to get out and enjoy the area and at least get to the poolside.
  22. Search forum for "Super Bowl foods" and there are several yummy recipes and ideas listed on that post
  23. Good luck on your new healthy journey.. Keep us posted
  24. My dr did the during surgery leak test and then the one post so that I can watch and leave knowing .. Yep, no leak. Plus, I thought it was pretty cool seeing my new Lil' tummy! Barium sips were pretty nasty though
