    Jawbone Up bracelet

Anyone have one? Just got mine yesterday and I'm looking for friends (they call them team members) to help motivate me.
  2. Thanks for the descriptions! Sounds like what's going on with me. Blah! Yeah, it's a pretty gross feeling. Can't swallow it and it doesn't go back down for awhile. Oh well. I will try to be more careful with what and how quickly I eat. Thanks again!!!
  3. I've seen it described as excess saliva. Die anyone ever feel like they have (please excuse me cause this is disgusting) a ball of mucus in their throat? I'm actually recovering from a cold, so it could be a symptom of my illness and nothing to do with the surgery. I'm 5 weeks out, btw.
  4. The first month after being sleeved I never experienced any nausea and I thought I was going to be one of the lucky ones. In the past few days I've started getting a queasy feeling in my stomach when I eat. I had pretty much eaten cottage cheese every day for 2 weeks and now it not only tastes weird to me, it turns my stomach when I eat it. Same with Soup. Anyone else experience this?
  5. Iggy and Doxie- whenever I DO eat pizza, it will be a good pizza. Thin wood fired crust, little bit of sauce or just tomatoes, and some quality ingredients. . I'm looking forward to just ONE piece. (or less) instead of eating half a pizza. My goal is to try to eat better quality, healthier foods, but also be able to live in the real world. I just want to eat LESS of things I had in the past. I know that limiting myself to low carb or low fat in the past just caused me to go over the edge eventually. I could do it and lose lots of weight but just not long term. Thanks so much for all of your advice. Pizza toppings sound pretty yummy, Iggy. I used to do that when I was low carbing. .
  6. The cauliflower crusts I've made before get firm but not exactly hard. But if you don't want carbs but DO want pizza, it's pretty awesome. I also used cauliflower in place of rice quite often. Yummy! Oh and I didn't think you were a "shark". I can see how my posts seemed to contradict each other and you were probably visualizing me hitting up Pizza Hut tonight and then crying about not losing any weight tomorrow. And I've learned the hard way about trying new foods and not being at home. Whew!

    Not Much Weight Loss

Thanks, CBlouis! I know that we are all different and lose weight at a different pace. I guess I am just worried that I am doing something wrong. I know it isn't eating TOO much or too many calories. I'm afraid that it's just not getting enough protein. Ive been doing much better this week and after I posted this thread this morning I got on the scales and lost 3lbs. Yay!
  8. Amazon- Guess I need to update the profile. I had planned to have the surgery with him until I found out my insurance wouldn't pay. I had the cauliflower pizza crust when I was low carbing earlier this year. It's yummy! Thanks for the suggestion!
  9. Hah! I promise I'm sticking to Protein shakes, yogurt and Soups. Not planning on eating pizza anytime soon. I was actually thinking about a nephew's birthday party next month. And no, I don't have a NUT. I went to Mexico for surgery and their post op diet isn't very clear. I get most of my info from this forum. Very valid point and I probably would have been thinking the same.
  10. I'm 3 weeks post op and I think I've lost about 9lbs (lost in the first week) I lost 18 on the pre-op diet. I know it's a big adjustment for my body but I see so many posting about losing 20lbs the first couple Of weeks and wonder what is wrong with me. I'm thinking it could be that I haven't eaten enough or got enough Protein the first couple of weeks. Anyone else experience this or have a theory? Thanks!
  11. Pizza isn't mentioned specifically on my post op diet (probably cause its not exactly a health food) but I was just curious if/when some of you had a slice?

    Unflavored Protein Powder?

I ordered the Unjury unflavored powder through their site and I really like it. I add it to lots of food and can't taste it.
  13. 6 days post op and I'm FINALLY down a pound from surgery. I know I was retaining fluid, etc but I'm hoping I will start losing now.
  14. Can't say I feel full all the time, but I just don't feel hungry at all. I've been around food and I do miss being able to eat certain things, but I don't have a desire for it yet. Thank goodness! I've had some chicken broth but I don't know what feeling I'm supposed to have when I'm full. Other than feeling everything I drink going into my stomach and gurgling a bit, I don't know how to tell when I'm full and I'm afraid to find out!
