Note to a little crappy after surgery but within 8 hours I felt like nothing was wrong. Some of the meds makes me a little drowsy.

I'm right behind you will be getting back to the Marriott about noonish they said haven't seen any medications. I don't know what room will be in will have to find you I will be here until Monday.

Can't believe I'm in Tijuana right now. I am exhausted from the trip. I'm ready for a nap. Met Muffin Top in the restaurant had broth & a popsicle to go. ready for bed.

I will be there tomorrow after noon. Surgery the 25th with Dr. Lopez. I'm sure will be crossing paths.

October 25 .....Dr.Lopez..... I use a lighter me with Janese. I will be flying in on the 24th and leaving for home the 29 I will also be staying at the Marriott Hotel. I will be traveling alone from Southern Illinois. Can't wait finishing getting my last things done I want to do. Everyday the countdown on my phone goes down another day I get more excited.

My sister had her RNY in 2009 at SSM DePaul. It was a great place. I cant remember who her surgeon was off had but I went with her & was very happy with the place.

I am from Southern Illinois. I was wanting to have my surgery in Herrin but being self employed & no Ins. the private pay fee here is way more than I can afford so I am going Oct. 25 to Mexico to Dr.Lopez & Dr.Osana.

I applied for my passport card on 8/21 & received my passport card 9/4. Super fast. When I applied at my small local post office they told me plan on 6 weeks but had heard of people getting them back within a few weeks. I planned my date for the end of October to save my anxiety from going into overdrive if I was pushed for time getting my card back.

If I'm not mistaken I believe the doctors are at the same hospital.

I am from here in So. IL. I went to a group seminar Dr. Ahuja was having for anyone wanting to have surgery with him. He is very REAL about what it take to lose weight & getting yourself mentally prepared. The only reason I am not using Dr. Ahuja is the cost difference between here & Mexico. I am self pay & self employed making it hard to come up with more money. My sister had an RNY in 2009 & she is the one who told me about Dr. Ahuja doing the sleeve. It was fairly new a few years back when I went to learn more & Dr. Ahuja was new to the area at that time. I have only heard great things about him. Many people my sister work with have went to him for follow up since he closer than doctors they used in St. Louis & beyond. Dont know if this helps or not.

I am also scheduled for Oct. ( 25th) With Dr Lopez. My coordinator is Janese with Alighterme. Who is your coordinator? She told me as soon as she has Sept patients taken care of she would be sending my info.

HI!!! I am scheduled for Dr. Lopez on Ocotber 25th. I am soooo excited. Glad I found this group. Now I can get some first hand info. I have spoke with Janese (my coordinator) & made my deposit. Applied for my passport, wish I would have realized that it would be here in less than 2 weeks. I would have made my date for sooner. I have been considering surgery since my sister had her RNY in 2009. I know long time. I have just been waiting to get it right in my mind mentally. I am 36 & ready to change my life. I am married & have two kids 14 & 12. I will be traveling alone & ready for the journey to mynew life.

I will be sleeved October 25th in Mexico with Dr.Lopez.

I went the other day to a local thrift shop. Figured I would start looking for things in various sizes since things come & go so fast in thrift shops. I can never find anything when I need it. Just planning ahead for my journey. Anywhoo I also have a daughter so I figured I would take a look to see if there was anything for her. I was looking though a basket of shorts & a lady says to me as im digging though .....Those are size 0 & 1's......really i wouldnt have guessed by holding them up. I just ignored her & proceeded to look onto the table. Again she walks right up to me & said the clothes are arranged by size. The bigger ones are down there. (Even those wouldnt have fit) At this point I could have really made a scene. I just politely told her that I do have a daughter that does were a size 0 so I know what im looking for. It never seems to amaze me how someone can think they are helping me with comments like that & the tone she used. Maybe this is the reason I try not to leave the house. Here I was having an exciting day getting things ready for my new life & she ruined it.

I am scheduled with Dr. Lopez & his wife Dr. Osana on October 25. I am 36, married with 2 kids (14-12) I am ready for all the good bad and ugly of my new journey.
