I will be 24 next Sunday (EEEK!). I am wanting my surgery in November but haven't heard from insurance just yet. I have faith in God and I know everything will happen in His time. I try not to worry about my approval too much. I am anxious though! Best of luck to you all!

I am in the same shoes as you!!! I submitted my paperwork last Friday and now anxiously waiting! I REALLY want my surgery in November but we will see how this goes...I am happy that I made it to this stage. Thought it would never get here! Best of luck to you!

I have known about the sleeve for years but paid no attention to it since I had my mind set on The Lap Band. I had been wanting the band for the last 4 years. Well, seems like everytime I started the process, SOMETHING always fell through ( and I'm so glad they did). I decided to try this process again in Feb of 2013. My surgeon asked me why I was choosing to have The Lap Band done. I told him because that's pretty much all I know. Seems to be working out for everyone. He suggested for my age and size that I have the sleeve. This, to me, seems less complicated (sorry, my opinion). I recently submitted my paperwork to insurance and waiting to get approved! So excited and best of luck to anyone going through this surgery!
