As always, be sure to Track and measure and make sure you are getting 100oz fluids and 60-80g Protein....from food if the shakes don't provide enough. At least this is what it takes for me to lose/maintain. As long as the shakes aren't too loaded with carbs, it could be a good plan to drop some extra pounds. But also remember that any "diet plan" is a temporary fix. You also need to work on altering whatever habits that led to your regain so it doesn't happen again.
    Good luck.

I am with you also. Do Liquid Protein for 2werks if you can to reset your pouch. I know it is very hard I was only able to do it a week. Everyday is a struggle

I agree with Babbs 100% on both replys.
I had put back on 20 at about year 4 i think.....and when my jeans didn't fit... that was a sign to me to get my a$$ back on the wagon. I put myself in Check and lost that 20 and 20 more... So it can be done... if you want it bad enough.

    Well
I bet the comments are crazy. There is so much hate, ignorance and jealousy (from fat and skinny alike). There are some very vocal problem-focused folks that have failed their surgeries out there on YouTube. The struggle is real and until the surgeries start taking place in our heads many will always struggle....I'm afraid.

Ten months ago I weighed 302. Yes, 302. I was so blue.
My life was small and getting worse. Obesity was my lifelong curse.
I had a dream. A dream to live. It asked for all my strength to give.
I mustered strength and all my will. Every requirement I would fill.
I got my LapBand and then began
My new life of not "can't", but "can".
I can, I said, and walked a mile. You've never seen a bigger smile.
I can, I said, and rode a horse. "The hour trail?" I said, "Of course!"
A trip to Italy, climbing hills. My new endurance gave me chills.
A bubble bath is a luxury that once was for everyone else but me.
An airplane ride with a regular belt. I can't describe how good that felt.
The movie seats used to squish my hips. Now the room I have brings a grin to my lips.
My larger clothes become someone's prize as I donate them for a smaller size.
My dozen meds have gone away. One pill and a Vitamin today.
Arthritis pain controlled me so. I am so glad to see that go.
A hundred pounds have waved goodbye. There really is no better high.
Fifty more to get to goal. Not stopping now. I'm on a roll!
So if you're starting out, don't fear. This all can be in your new year!
Have faith, believe, work hard, and give
Yourself the best of gifts -- to LIVE!

We're highly contemplating opening an online store on BariatricPal that will sell discounted Bariatric Nutritional Products. We'll most likely stock all the big brands plus some others we feel would benefit the community.
Would this be something that interests you ?
Which products do you use most ?
Would you be interested in a monthly auto-ship service ?

My mother, big brother, husband and bff are the only ones that know. I am DEF not telling my hypochondriac, always perfect, 5'3" 120lb sister. My extended family won't be told either. When they ask I'm just going to tell them I'm on a diet. The way I see it, I don't survey them all about my tampon choice, why would I inform them of what I'm doing with my guts?
    My guts, my business.

I love my sleeve and my new body I exercise quite a bit for muscle tone. I eat just about anything but still in very little amounts! My skin is not terrible but I would like to have my stomach and Brest done this year! I'm glad I was able to retain my curves my goal now is to tighten and build firmer muscles!
Still have occasional reflux, like now!! But I know what triggers it! Today was caffeine in iced tea!! I forgot!
Oh I am so excited and glad that I can wear actual designer jeans!! I wear a 31/32 in True Religions!!!!
My clothes are mostly medium I wear 12 pants. I really thank God for my surgeon and my insurance!!! It has changed my life!!

Thanks to Madison for creating this thread and keeping it updated, and to and everyone else for sharing their experiences. I have had PCOS for many years and was sleeved on April 17th. Despite the fact that have been enormously overweight all my adult life, my main worry all along has been my excess hair.
If the long-term effects of having the sleeve can release me from the daily burden of dealing with the facial hair - about an hour a day, every single day of my life - it will have been worth it for that alone. It was one of the first things I asked my surgeon about. More recently, and only slightly joking, I asked him if there was anything I could do to ensure that I keep all the hair on my head while losing the hair on my face and body. Sadly not, apparently!
