  2. I used to try warm prunes, now I'm doing maralax, no results yet. Kills me to pay all that money just to poop it away. Lol
  3. Same what I was told AussieLady. I've been on it for so long, at least 8 years. I read where some ppl never had it again after surgery, lucky ducks!
  4. One other option is your pain management, if I take toridol I have this horrible anxiety attack. Just how I react to that certain med. Hope it gets better for you.
  5. Yep, actually I'm 9 days out and still wish I had it.
  6. Today was a really tough day, finally started to get gassy. Now I'm really bloated.
  7. Spoke with my doc office this am and they said to continue to take what works for me, yippee. Thank You Jesus!
  8. Thank you all so much, I was really worrying. Plus I tried creamy tomato Soup today and felt like I was carrying around a bowling ball. I would like to only deal with one issue at a time. Lol
  9. Surgery was 7 days ago, I haven't had any pain killers all day, but every time I sit or lay down I fall asleep. A really deep sleep. I haven't seen any posts about anyone else doing this. It's kinda worrying me.
  10. I know it was discussed before but I can't find the posting. Why can't I continue to take Nexium?

I have to be honest, I thought this would be better for me, cause I have had so many surgeries in the past. It isn't all what I thought it would be, I'm not whining or complaining, just thinking out loud. From waking up in intermediate ICU to all these tubes hooked up to me, wasn't how I had envisioned it. Oh, I knew there would be pain and soreness, been there done that, but simply swallowing or in my case munching on ice. The doctors and nurses were awesome, they made this experience doable. So, what was so surprising? I thought it would be a breeze and I would bounce back faster than anyone, stupid thinking I know. I think I'm morning the loss of the old me, the one that flicked her nose at rules and did what she wanted. My sleeve said nay, nay nay you have to be accountable now. As I stomp my foot and say bummer! I've read a lot of posts where ppl say they love their sleeve, hum, love is sorta a strong word at the moment. We are tolerating each other at this time. I was trying to drink Isopure, gag, gag, gag. Well I have a great shake that has a lot of protein I can drink in the am and pm with enough protein. So why am I trying to drink the crappy stuff? Silly me! Now getting my fluids down! I want to take gulps and you know what gulps do. So I'm using lil cups to sip out of. Problem solved! Next is gas. I swear I walked 2 miles a day at the hospital, not even one lil poof, notta piff, notta fuff. Nothing. I could burp a sailor under the table but no gas insite. Until I went home, that sailor would be proud! Lol So as I'm laying here listening to the splitter, splatter of my new tummy I'm thinking... Lil Sleeve you better be worth it!!! All for now.......
  13. I've been eating cream soups, no chunks, the warm helps me feel full.
  14. I was sleeved on the 22nd as well and no bm for me either. Today is the first day to pass gas and am very happy to do it. Lol. Never thought farting would make someone so excited and boy am I excited.
  15. Got home around 2pm, took a nap, started on protein shake. Tried some cream soup, just a couple sips. TMI: I really need to poop. Lol. Got some Miralax, but nothing yet. Sure wish I could get a good fart. Lol. At the hospital I walked and walked and walked. So much so, that other nurses knew my name. But still sad to say, no passing gas. Even though its not considered lady like, I would have done it and be proud, I'd declare, yep, that was me. I miss the hospital bed, it did all the sitting up for me. All the nurses were awesome and had great personalities. But I am so glad to be home, Anna didn't want picked up so I wouldn't feel bad. My UnJury shake was really good, especially with milk. My Isopure is more tolerable with a flavor stick. Just glad to be home again.

Today is Saturday, one of the docs sail if I'm still doing good I can go home. One of the drains keep leaking, and I have to wear the pain bulb home. Trying to eat is umm, interesting, I can get a couple bites down, that's it. The bowels are still asleep, no gas, no poo, no fun! Lol
  18. I'm in the hospital 4 days post op and I have really dry mouth, I have been npo all those days. Yesterday they allowed me ice chips, there hasn't been enough time to say I'm doing something wrong. There's probably a ton of reasons why your suffering. Back off the food stuff and introduce one thing at time.

In ICU cause there was a part of the stomach that the staples couldn't get to. He was worried about leaks. I had alot of scaring and he wanted to keep an eye on me. He sutured it.
