Subdermal Incision Site Knots
I'm hoping that after having had two c-sections, this procedure won't seem as bad to me. C-sections cannot be done laproscopically and they cut deep into your lower abdominal muscle.

People Noticing Wt Loss
The last time I was on a diet, i lost 14 pounds. The sad part is that even though that's what the scale said, not only didn't anyone notice bit I didn't even notice. I lost ally motivation and the weight returned in a mere 2 weeks. It's unfortunate but honestly, if I don't see it working for me, I lose hope fairly easily. I pray that with the sleeve, I can't quit on myself.

Water
I'm the complete opposite - from as long as I can remember, I've ALWAYS had a drink of something either I my hand or near me. I just keep refilling all day. My issue is going to be to STOP drinking the 1/2 before and after eating!

My Husband Thinks I'm Copping Out
I think I will have him go to the next support group meeting with me even if I have to drag him there! LOL Yeah, he's 5'8" and 160 lbs. he walks ALOT. He gets upset that I don't go with him. I try to explain that at 260, it's too much of a struggle and my back hurts and I can't walk as fast as him. At only 5'0",I'm taking 5 steps for every one of his! My dream is to get thin and healthy enough where he has a hard time keeping up with me! Thanks so much for the encouragement. I do hope he comes around.

Does Obesity Help have an iPhone app like Vertical Sleeve Talk does? I can't find it if it exists. Have to say though, this (you all) are a huge support and I thank you for being here!!

My Husband Thinks I'm Copping Out
I'll admit, I don't really like exercise (yet). I've dieted on and off since I was a teenager and just like the rest of you, it always came back. How do I help him realize that I'm not copping out!!

I love this post and I feel like I'm in the same boat. I'm going through all the motions of getting approved. Some days I feel like I wish it was tomorrow because I'm that ready. Other days I'm thankful I still have some tests because I'm unsure. I keep thinking that if I don't do something, I could literally die tomorrow from a heart attack, stroke or even sleep apnea (not including the runaway bus in my path LOL). Thanks for validating my fears and letting me know Minot alone- 53; Fat And Ready For Help!
I'll be 50 in July and I plan on starting my second century with a big body do-over!!! Going through the testing list now. Hoping for January/February. Birthday is in July. I can't stop coming to this web site looking for information, advice and support. It's wonderful!!!- 3 Month Surgiversary!
Shannon - looking forward to your picks - so glad you're doing we'll- Newbie
Me too.- What's Worse?
I think I used tone thin but always felt chubby. I don't remember ever feeling thin. As I got older, the weight crept up. After my children were born (both c-sections), it went up even faster. For the past 10 years, I am no longer in control of my appetite or my weight. I've tried to lose but honestly, I tend to give up if I don't lose enough or quickly enough. I totally lose my motivation and I get off the diet. Then, anything I did lose comes back plus. Am I right for this surgery?- Just Realized Today...
I have a 10 year old. I hadn't thought about hugs. Thanks for sharing.- Popcorn

My husband said he'll be supportive when it's time for surgery, but he is also saying "I'd rather have you fat than not at all" (meaning death). Ugh! So marose!- One Year Follow Up
Kykim- thanks for your post, just what I needed to hear today- Getting Sleeved In The Morning
Prayers for you and your new belly- Anyone From New England?
CarolC - I loved your list of what you're looking forward to. You're almost four months post-op now - any regrets? My husband is a "I'm not going to tell you what to do because it's YOUR body and I don't want to be blamed for anything but I wouldn't do it" kind of guy so I'm a little stressed about making it to surgery, through surgery and what my life will be like afterwards. Really, my worst fear is having regrets because this is permanent. Oh, if we could only see into the future!!!!!!!! - 3 Weeks Post Op, Down 27 Lbs! With Pics
