  1. Wow mylifeinpink, I'm so impressed with your progress. I pray I do as we'll. great job working your sleeve!!!
  2. All my appointments are made. Needless to say, the next couple weeks are going to be so busy! LOL!! My back is killing me today and I can't help but to think its partly due to me carrying around a 30 lb pocketbook and partly due to me carrying around. 260 lb me!! Advil, take me away!!!
  3. Pepper Paul - no, it didn't have anything to do with you or your posts. I'm so so sorry if you felt that way. I feel really intruded upon and almost stalked by iggychicks former doctors office. So annoyed I wish I could "unfriend" them so I didn't have to read their baloney posts. Wayyyyyyy too convenient that they're all joining now - and all of a sudden - but they didn't know it even though they work in the same office. Wow, they must think we're really stupid. Sorry for the rant. I hope your approval is going well. I hope you find a really good and ethical doctor to assist you. Good luck!
  4. Yahoooo!!! Please let us know when their last day of work is!!!
  5. Please do not think that I am in any way, shape or form showing any disrespect to breast cancer survivors. My family is loaded with them and I have empathy beyond measure. But I wanted to reach him at his level. My husband went through colon cancer a couple years ago so I finally thought of a way to explain how I feel to him with the following analogy. My husband went through colon cancer a couple years ago so I finally thought of a way to explain how I feel at his level. If I got news from my GYN doctor that I had breast cancer; I would certainly have choices over the kind of treatment I should receive. I could do nothing, live in pain and mental torture and eventually die of it (or complications of it). I could have a lumpectomy and pray the cancer didn’t return, or I could go for the mastectomy and know that with this procedure, I had the best chance of recovering from the disease. Well, obesity is a disease! I am morbidly obese; I would certainly have choices over the kind of treatment I should receive. I could do nothing, live in pain and mental torture and eventually die of it (or complications of it). I could go on yet another diet and pray that the weight didn’t return, or I could go for the weight loss surgery and know that with this procedure, I had the best chance of recovering from the disease. I think I got his attention
  6. Ask if you can bring (insert something you can eat) because not all foods agree with your sensitive stomach. Not telling her anything while also being truthful
  7. Love your sarcasm Iggychick. Also I think it's horrible that his employees are posting. I honestly hope you sue their company right the hell out of business!!!!
  8. I would go to their boss, explain what was done and recommend sensitivity training. Wow, so hurtful!
  9. Yup, that's the one!
  10. Awe Running Granny - tons of kudos for trying so hard!!!!!
  11. Love the "cake walk" comment and sleeping afterwards!!!
  12. Awesome - thanks for the tip!
  13. Congrats to all the pant losers!!!
  14. I want to jump on a trampoline, run a 5K, and go hiking with my kids!
  15. Oh and I want to wear a shirt more than a few times before stuff (salad dressing, etc.) falls on my chest (shelf) instead of over my plate. My boobs are too big!!!
  16. I want to NOT to accidentally turn on the dishwasher at work at lunchtime just by leaning up against it. My belly is too big!!'
  17. Thank you and congrats on beating cancer!! My husband had colon cancer a couple years ago so I know it's not an easy road to travel. We are all stronger than we think we are!
  18. French fries
  19. Does it hurt like strep throat hurts? Better or worse?
  20. It's called "Diet Shakes". Wondering if any post-ops could tell me if the ingredients in the shakes are good for us, I'm still pre-op. again, I'm think the "shake powder" can be replaced with protein powder. Please let us know where it's a keeper app or should be deleted. Thanks!!
  21. So hoping the thrill is gone for fries! I am a self-proclaimed potatoe ***** (just a term, not real) and I will eat them anything they're cooked. I think not eating potatos, pasta and rice would save me!!!
  22. I just found an app for diet shakes. You put in an ingredient for example and it tells you how to make it and what other ingredients are needed. It says "add V-powder" but I'm sure we can replace whatever that is with protein powder. Tons of different concoctions!!
  23. I have another support group meeting very soon. I'll let you know if he changes his mind any
