I'm sorry that you have been dealing with all that Tammy. Don't worry you'll get on track once you finish dealing with all you have on your plate right now. I'm sorry about your loses. ((((((BIG HUG))))))))) On another note, I did walk my 3.2 miles yesterday, and let me tell you, its really hard to push a double tandem stroller w/ two kids that probably weigh a combined weight of 75 lbs and plus the weight of the stroller. My kids enjoy the walk though, so I have to keep pushing their little butts in the stroller. My four year old little girl is a talker like me so she has tons of stories and songs to make the time pass faster, although sometimes I wish she would stay quiet and let me enjoy the walk. LOL,, My little boy who is three loves the walks also, yesterday when we turned on our street, he said he didn't want to go home yet, but I had to, I was beat, I tell you this walking is hard work. Hopefully I will stay focused and keep doing it. Well talk to you all later. Oh I got a pedometer, but I'm electronically challenged and you have to set it, set the length of your stride and who knows what else, looks really complicated, so I didn't mess with it.

Tons of restriction right from the start, well not as much as now, but definitely couldn't eat like before banding. Nope. Most of my weight was lost in that first initial phase, lost 23 lbs the first month and the rest has been SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOw to come off.

Oh Jack, you are so right, I haven't felt this good about myself in a long time. Last night I was laying in bed, in my little night gown (well its not all that little) and I couldn't stop staring at my thighs and legs, they look so thin, my husband asked what the hell I was staring at so passionately and I said I was just looking at how damn good my legs and thighs look. it was so funny.

I have to disagree with your surgeon Miss De Larla, I had tons of restriction with this last fill and only saw a very little weight loss, I think that because my body was not consuming enough it was hoarding every little bit that I could eat. I wish I would have left my second fill alone and waited it out, because my third one was so terribly tight and made me so terribly miserable. I have been pretty depressed lately about the amount of intake I was doing. I was starting to regret getting the band, because I could hardly eat anyting. I even called the dr and asked for an unfill, but he is moving and wasn't seeing patients, I have loosened up a bit, thank God, but I am still very limited to what I can eat. I love salads and can't eat lettuce, and that sucks. It is tough being banded, not easy at all. Yesterday, my husband told me that I'm really starting to look thinner, he said, sure is easy with that band, huh?? I'm like, you are soooooo wrong, it is hard as hell to have this band, it takes so much darn will power to eat correctly and eat right. He has no clue. Sometimes I wish I could have had the discipline on my own to eat healthy and then one day if I wanted to splurge and eat a HUGE steak the size of Texas I could, but I can't and I just have to learn to deal with that. So regarding that "sweet spot" I couldn't tell you if it exists because I haven't been there yet. Oh, almost forgot, DeLarla, the picture of you and Penni on the other thread, you guys are so beautiful, just beautiful.

I too had this, the itching was unbearable sometimes, but that always happens to me on any cuts once it starts healing the skin gets really dry and itchy.

Well I accepted the challenge and I started yesterday, put my two kids in the stroller and went out the door, it was so refreshing. I walked from my house to the park and back, its about 3.2 miles, and halfway back it started drizzling, so I had to haul butt and run for a little while. I am so sore today, funny how fast your bod gets out of shape, a couple of months ago, this would have been a breeze (even though I was heavier) but today, I am dying, my legs and butt are killing me. OUCH, but I am doing it today after work, so I will be checking in with you all. I don't have a pedometer, so I'll have to go buy one next week (I live in a rural town and we don't have a Wal-Mart). Thanks for getting me going again. I went shopping this weekend and bought myself some size 10 capris, I look pretty good in them if I say so myself, so skinny me, here I come..

I too am losing hair, but I think I haven't been eating as well because I had too much restriction. My band is just starting to loosen up after 1 1/2 months since my fill and for the last couple of days I have been eating pretty well, I also started taking vitamins, hopefully that should help.

I wish I would have know how much work it is to lose weight even with the band. And how hard it would be to watch someone eat a hamburger and crave it so bad it hurts and know that you can't have a big hamburger ever again. (Makes me want to cry every time I think about it) But on an up note, I wish I would have known how darn good I look in a pair of size 10 capris, would have never let myself get as fat as I did.

Hi Bandit, I am having plastic surgery in Mexico at the end of June. I am having a tt and body liposculpture (upper and lower back, inner and outer thighs and a bit on my arms). The surgeon who did my band is a plastic surgeon so he is doing my procedures in June, I am so excited, I can't wait for my loose ugly stomach to disappear. I am however really nervous, the tt procedure I've been told is really painful and takes a long time to recover, so please pray that all goes well for me and that I recover quickly. Also, there is always in the back of my mind that I'll die and everyone will say "what a stupid girl, died having cosmetic surgery, how sad". Well wish me luck and pray for me. Dr. Castellanos has a website, but its in Spanish only.

I didn't have one, unless they put it in while asleep and took it out before I woke, I am so happy I didn't have one, those things hurt, I had one in when I had my C-Section and boy did that thing hurt.

Well congratulations, my husband's company had a lawsuit against a company that didn't pay us $180,000 and we had to settle last week, it was costing us a lot more in time lost from work from having to attend hearings and meets, that my husbands company just decided to go ahead and settle, I really don't know what the settlement was (I don't like to get involved in those things) but I know that we lost money, but at least its over and done with. Not really worth the stress for us, but I'm really happy for you, its wonderful that you won. I'm glad to hear that in your case the little guy won, usually there are more stories like mine, than yours.

You both are truly beautiful women, I hope I can meet all of you someday. I really have learned to love each and everyone of you.

So how do they remove 2.5 cc's from a 1.75 fill? Where did the extra fill come from? Did your doctor say? Thats too weird.

I'm with you, I accept the challenge of walking two-three miles every day, I'm tired of sitting on my fat ass and not doing something to get my weight loss going, if I'm going to get to my goal by the end of June, I must start walking... I get my tt on June 20, I set that as my goal date, if I don't get to goal, then I don't deserve to spend all that money on me. I want this so bad, so its time to prove how bad I want this, no more excuses. Can you all please keep me focused.. I can and will do this. Wish me luck.

Believe me I Know how you feel, its sometimes discouraging how much work it takes to get these fills just right. But don't get discouraged, you might wake up tomorrow and have tons of restriction, good luck.

What a bummer that you have to pay everytime, my Dr doesn't do that, but then again he charges $300 for the fill, so good luck and hope you get to your sweet spot.

Wow, you can eat an entire ham and cheese omelette right after a fill, Wow again, I am stunned. I can't even eat that 1 1/2 months after my fill. I can eat about 1/2 to a 1/3 cup of food and that's it. Don't rush into getting more fill, give it a couple of days to see how your body reacts to this one. I'm really astonished, after a fill it is recommended that you do liquids for at least three days. I never get my fill done in a semi-sitting position, its done while I'm laying down (fantasising about my good looking DR, LOL), then he makes me sit down, so that we can make sure I can drink and don't have much restriction. Wonder why yours was done sitting down? Well I hope you get the restriction you need, but don't get discouraged my first fill did nothing for me, neither did the second and boy did I feel the third one, actually its just now starting to losen up and feel good. My advice to you would be to go ahead and notify your Dr's office (some drs won't charge for another fill if that one didn't work and you let them know right away) so they know what's going on, then give it to the beginning of next week and reassess yourself then, and then maybe schedule another fill. Well good luck, but these fills are tricky business, so don't get discouraged.

I see Dr. Eddie Gomez in Coral Gables, he takes Mexican banded patients and charges me $300 for a fill w/out flouru, I called other Drs in Florida and they wanted $500 for the first consult and then $750-1000 for the fill, that Is too expensive for me, so I decided to go w/ Dr. Gomez. He is super nice and very experienced, he hits the port on the very first try (my port is sideways so its more difficult, the first fill w/ my surgeon took five pokes and that was under flouru) but Dr. Gomez doesn't have any problems getting to the port and doing my fills, send me a pm if you want his phone #.

Wow that is wonderful, I was banded on Nov. 4 and have lost about that amount, so you are doing just great, wish I could lose weight that fast. What do you eat on an average day? You know I think my problem is that I'm not eating enough, I'm starting to look sick to people. Four people asked me if I was feeling okay today, that for sure is a sign that I look like shit. In the last two days I have been able to eat a little bit more, hopefully I can start eating healthier and feeling better.

Bandit and Kathy you both will do great, it is normal to have nerves about such a life altering surgery. But it will all be worth it, Bandit you have to keep in mind that because your a lower bmi the weight will come off a bit slower, so you have to prepare yourself for that, that is one thing that caught me off guard, I thought that I'd be at goal weight by now, but these fills are so tricky and it sure takes a lot of work to get it just right. I think Dr. Kim is a she, but I don't have her info. I tried getting fills with Dr. Grossband, but he doesn't take Mexican banded patients, (atleast when I called, they said no). I've been driving to Coral Gables with Dr. Eddie Gomez (aka sweetie pie, he's so super fine) to get my fills, he does my fills without flouru and its no problem, he gets my port everytime, and my port is flipped, so that tells you he knows what he's doing. He is super nice and does a really good job. The fills are $300 w/out flouru and if you want flouru $600. I would rather save the additonal money, since he is very experienced and get me right everytime. Let me know if you need Dr. Gomez info.
