I ate small amts of salad & did fine. Just try it slowly. I have lost about the same amount of weight & am little over 8 weeks out. I have been up & down a few lbs .... Had a small stall. I think your body just takes time to re-adjust then kicks back in. I pretty much eat anything I want in small amts. GoodLuck

I have been at a stall since October 27. This Wednesday will be 8 weeks since surgery. I'm starting to think I am going to fail the sleeve. I have been getting my Protein in, and my Water. I admit I have not walked lately because it has been cold. I'm beginning to think it is hopeless!!!

wow......your honesty is very heart warming and real......
You can never be happy until you find happiness within yourself....acceptance of the past and a desire to move forward and improve yourself...not those around you..
There is no blame here just circumstances that could never be dealt with and put away....
Look at your life and see what is worth giving up and worth keeping....sounds to me like you have a very patient husband who has been there through all of it.....
Dealing with what is wrong within yourself is a journey and it will not take one day or a year even to change yourself....the point is to do it with out making unkept promises and one step at a time......go outside of your comfort zone and push yourself to show extra attention to the ones you care about and love....one day at a time will start the change to the new and better you......
Beating yourself up so much is only going to delay the needed changes that you want to make.....
I have been where you are and it took me a long time to like parts of myself so that I could find happiness within..then it shows outwardly......
It is a road that will take more then losing weight.....but it will be worth it..I promise you...
Knowing you have issues is the first step....changing them is the next....
You are a brave person to see that you want to change and be a better person and happy..
Not all is lost......you are a fighter....find out what you need to become to make yourself and your loved ones happy.....
I hope you understand what I am trying to say here....be kind to yourself and reach out for help...your moving forward already by saying it out loud.....
keep journaling it helps a lot!

Hello everyone. I just wanted to share an update after surgery on Aug 8th.
So far I have lost 103 Lbs. Friday my Dr. told me that I've set a new record for weight lost with his patients and that at this pace I should reach my goal before the end of the year! Started at 324 lbs. and of this morning I weight 221 lbs. My goal is 180 lbs.
The lab results, after 2 months, show that all my numbers are back to normal. I no longer have a fatty liver which I was told that would turn into cirrhosis if I didn't take care of it. High blood pressure is gone and cholesterol levels back to normal.
In regards to clothes, went from 46 pants to 36 and neck from 20 1/2 to 17.
I wanted to share in case you were on the fence about getting the surgery. Do it! The best decision I've ever made. I feel great and feel like I got my life back. It was tough during the pre-op diet and 2 weeks after surgery but after that it gets better!
Please reach to me if you have any questions. This forum helped me so much making the decision to have surgery and prepare for it.
    Good luck.

Hey sleeve sister!! I started out with liquid multi complete from Walgreens (Walgreens brand) and once I could do chewables I switched. I really, really don't like the chewables at all. I kinda gag on them. I found myself going back to the liquid. It doesn't taste bad if you keep it chilled. I use chewables in AM and liquid at night until I run out of chewables. Then pretty sure I am going to use liquid all the time. It's just so easy to get in. And I need easy.

You're going to think I am a big scary bad person, I'm sure, but I'm not.
    Think about this ...
This is about shrinking your liver so the surgeon has a nice little liver to move around so they can tear out 85% of your stomach. They have told you they feel they can do their best job if it is shrunk. They don't want to nick it during the procedure. I don't think you want them to nick it either.
If they get in there and discover your liver is larger than they are comfortable with, they have three options.
    Convert to an open surgery

    Cancel the surgery

Throw caution to the wind and hope for the best and do it laproscopically

So, you do what you feel is best, but your inability to follow the pre-op diet for a few days is an indication of your relationship with food. The sleeve is not going to change that. You may want to schedule some appointments to address food issues.
    Sorry, mean part over.
I just want you to be successful and reach the goals you have set for yourself.
Good luck and let us know how you are doing.
