  1. I second the sugar free fudgesicles, they are pretty good. I have always struggled with sweets, they are my biggest weakness. I try not to have any in the house and was hoping that my tastes would change after surgery. I ate a donut stick the other night that my husband had brought home. As I was eating it I was hoping it would make me sick but it didn't phase me. I really need to work on this,
  2. I have no idea what this means but it sounds like she is making progress.
  3. Mendy,,,do you feel like you are losing inches?
  4. You are still down 165 pounds...that is an entire person! Are there any support groups in your area?
  5. Conrats! I love that you took a picture of the scale.
  6. It takes a while under the best of circumstances and if you aren't getting in all of your protein and water that makes it harder. I think it is a very gradual process, you feel a little bit better each week. I am 10 weeks out and don't think I am there yet, but I know I feel a lot better than I did a month ago. Good luck.
  7. My doctor said no exercise/lifting for a month. I was encouraged to walk from day 1, but that was all. It was hard for me to even bend over and tie my shoes for a few weeks.
  8. Mine hurt for a few weeks when I was moving, especially getting up or down. It didn't hurt sitting or sleeping. Did you get any pain meds?
  9. I can understand your frustration. Do you weigh and measure your food? I find that from time to time I need to weigh and measure to remind myself of what size my portions should be. Your height and weight seem to be reasonable...
  10. Sorry you are losing your hair but it is a cute cut and you look great.
  11. So sorry to hear you are going through this, please keep up updated.
  12. Congrats! You are an inspiration.
  13. I am 5'2" and decided on a goal of 140. That is the near the upper end of the range but I am 55 and know I will have a lot of extra skin to carry around. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that was the goal my doctor also set for me.
  14. I had surgery on Monday and returned to work on the following Monday after 3 nights in the hospital. I have a desk job and did OK but was tired eaily.
  15. At 3 weeks out I had no energy either...it is a slow but gradual process as you heal. It will get better!
  16. I had 2 glasses of wine at a wedding 7 weeks out and was fine. 8 weeks out I went on a cruise and had a few drinks most nights and was OK.
  17. Find out if the doctors' office accepts Care Credit. They have a plan for 18 months to repay with no interest.
  18. No, they are different things. Sliming is when you spit up saliva but not food. It feels the same initially, but then no food comes up.
  19. I was told no lettuce or other raw vegetables for 6 months. It sounds like everyone else is having salads earlier than that with no problems.
