  1. I have enjoyed this cereal, and have it from time to time to break up the monotony of the breakfast rut. I would never have known about it if it weren't for this forum.
  2. Glad to hear you got home, hope you are feeling better soon!
  3. I had motion sickness on the car ride home, I think that is nomal. My doctor prescribed meds for nausea when I went home, I didn't need them but would assume that most people do or he wouldn't have prescribed them in advance. It is a slow recovery process, but you will feel better. Hugs...hang in there!
  4. It took me around 10 days until the scale started moving due to all of the fluids from the IV's. Hang in there!
  5. I am just reading this for the first time. Sorry to hear that you are having such a hard time, best wishes, Sending a hug your way!
  6. I find a bite or two of something sweet is good and satisfies me, much more than a bite and I feel yucky.
  7. Best wishes to you Sannah, stay strong and know that better days are coming.
  8. I was told no fluids 15 minutes before and 30 minutes after.
  9. I have had wine from time to time starting at week 7 with no problems, didn't even get a buzz. (my doctor said to wait a year).
  10. After the first few days the only time I felt pain was when I was getting in and out of bed or some other similar motion, and it only hurt for the few seconds that I was moving. Like others have said, you should contact your doctor just to be on the safe side.
  11. Sorry to hear that Sarah, this is a concern for myself and I am sure a lot of others. How much (quantity) do you eat at a time? Are there any support groups in your area? I am 3 months out and still have cravings for sweets. I imagine that I will never be able to have them in my house.
  12. Wow. Glad you are headed in the right direction. Good luck!
  13. My doctor told me to wait 1 week, but I still felt like crap after 1 week. I ended up waiting 2 weeks and could have waited longer had my husband not been so pitiful.
  14. Congrats! Our numbers are almost identical. Sometimes it seems like the weight is coming off slowly, then I will try on a piece of clothing that didn't fit 3 weeks ago and I realize that I am making progress.
  15. If you do a search on hair loss you will see that it is a big problem for a lot of people, and everyone has different theories on what to do to about it. Good luck!
  16. I agree. I have been "fat" for years but always spent a lot of time (and money) making sure my hair looked good. I am 3 months post-op and haven't lost any hair yet, but I know it can start tomorrow.
  17. My doctor said no salads or raw vegetables for 6 months.
  18. I have always had a bit of an "issue" with meat. If it is too chewy or has any fat or gristle I had a hard time eatng it. Now that I am 3 months post-op it is even worse. I frequenly find myself spitting out the bite of meat if it is too chewy. Anyone else have this? I have been eating a lot of protein bars but know I am supposed to working on getting away froom those.
  19. I wish I had done this years ago. It was rough in the beginning, but I was mentally prepared thanks to the great information on this site. Every day I get a little bit better.
  20. Best wishes, keep us posted.
  21. Best wishes for both of you for a happy and healthy future.
  22. I had wine at 6 weeks with no problem...
