  1. I would call your doctor, maybe they can change the meds they gave you...
  2. Thank you! You are freaking awesome! That is the best post, I have ever read!
  3. PPI is an anti-acid medicine, like xantac, pepcid, etc., most Dr.'s give an Rx for it after surgery. Yeah, the grumbling does sometimes does make you think its hunger.
  4. I really did -- I had my surgery on a Wednesday and out of the hospital on Thursday. I didn't need the pain meds after Saturday night and was shopping in Target on Sunday.
  5. It's more than likely not actual hunger growling, are you taking a post-op PPI? That helps --Also your tummy will continue to make some serious grumbling noises for like the next 6 months. Good Luck!
  6. Have you tasted it? It's vile...
  7. OMG! How awful, don't they have backup generators?
  8. Sorry to be off topic but, I can totally agree on that!
  9. I will be 8 months out on 6/10 and I've lost 145lbs!
  10. I also had a hiatal hernia before surgery, my surgeon repaired during the procedure and my reflux is gone!
  11. OK, I work full time and have 2 young kids, my workout time is super limited. I am really trying to get in my exercise, so I thought I would get a workout DVD and do it in the morning before the kids get up. Being that time is such an issue I was trying to get like a 30 minute video that is not all jumping around. I looked at Tracy Anderson workout, as I really want to tone and tighten up but the reviews were so mixed --I just don't know if I should order it. Any recommendations? Thanks!
  12. LOL! I so needed a laugh and really have to get my ass to exercise, but since you put it that way --- I just have to do it!

  16. Hey it's ok... dust yourself off and start fresh. Today is a new day! I know the pre-op is hard, but if you stick to it by the 3rd or 4th day you'll pass the hump and be fine. Besides it will give you a nice little head start on your weight loss and a safer surgery. Good Luck you can do this!!
  17. I truly couldn't even look at
  18. Mine went from size 10 to 8.5
  19. How about replacing breakfast with a protein shake -- it's a start!
  20. Yikes! I hope you are feeling better soon!
