  1. Keeping you lifted in prayer!!!
  2. Praying all turns out well for you!!! Stay strong!
  3. Congratulations!!! That's just from the fluids. You'll get rid of it, don't worry:)
  4. I tolerated the Unjury vanilla, which wasn't bad. They also have unflavored which i added different flavored sugar free syrups and sugar free pudding mix to. They have sample packs you can order. I, also liked the Optimum vanilla ice cream powder from GNC. Mixed with 8 oz of skim milk it's 32g of protein. Both products are very low carbs. I tried the Isopure clear drinks, well, one bottle and just about puked! I, took the other three bottles back to GNC for a refund. But, try and get samples, ask for samples because our taste buds seem to have a mind of their own post op!!! Hope this helps.
  5. Non Sleeve Victory. It could be from fitting into that dress that's been hanging in your closet for some years to comfortably fitting into a booth @ a restaurant.
  6. @gustavo52974, that is too funny!!! I hear ya!!! Congrats on your NSV!!!
  7. It happened yesterday as I was leaving the house, my 7 yr old granddaughter said, "Wow Nana! You're getting skinny!". I stopped dead in my tracks and was speechless. I, think I went into shock! Well, I finally said thank you, with a smile. I confess, I wanted to cry! Although, my clothes are getting really loose and I've seen some physical changes, some part of me is not seeing or accepting! But, babygirl's compliment broke through and hit home! Yeah me!!! So glad, I started taking care of me and got my sleeve!!! This is only the beginning:)
  8. "The world according to eggface", the bariatric foodie, both sites have family friendly recipes...
  9. Did you try some sugar free popsicles? That might help, too! Don't worry too much about the protein shakes now, get your fluids in. Try putting Crystal Light or Mio, any sugar free flavor in your water, nothing red. Herbal teas, broth, jello-no red, Gatorade G2 helped me. Just get the fluids in as best you can. Call your Dr.'s office if things don't get better!! Take Care:)
  10. Keeping you in prayer!!! You'll do just fine!!! We've got spot with your name on it on the "Loser's Bench"
  11. So far, coffee is the first thing that has changed post sleeve! On that note, reese peanut butter cups, butter peacan ice cream, cheesecake, cadbury milk chocolate bars, etc., they had better change too, into the "just plain nasty" bin!!! Lol!!!
  12. My long love affair with my beloved coffee has come to an abrupt end! No warning, no signs, just over!!! Today was the second time, I tried to drink a cup of coffee, decaf, but, it was really good! Well, it used to be:( It tasted like I don't know what, just nasty!!! Darn taste buds!!! Well, farewell my beloved, nothing but fond memories.....tears, tears, tears...........
  13. Congrats! You look great!!!
  14. South Beach diet recipe book.
  15. My sign- Aries. My physical recovery- 10. My emotional state- 7, I feel like I'm in mourning some days, today is a good day! I'm only 2 wks post op and just began pureed. So far, so good. I'm still losing and I only weigh when I go to clinic on that scale. I'll know the numbers next week.
  16. I, agree with Jar312! There will and must be changes that we'll face during this new journey in our life! I was told to be prepared for friends, co-workers, and even family that will treat me differently. For those that think we took the easy way out, I say, " Go kick rocks barefoot, you idiots"!!!!
  17. See, it's the things we took forgranted that now make us smile!!!
  18. Re: the pain aspect and comparing to a C-sec, I've had 3 C-secs. My sleeve surgery was nothing compared to my C-sec's. I'm 10 days post op, feeling great, and other than wanting solid food, no complaints. I went home the day after my surgery, some discomfort, but more tired than anything. You can't tell that I've just had major surgery though. The sleeve is so much better. Good Luck and God Bless!
  19. I know it's hard to do, but, you need to quit smoking asap. I, was a pack a day smoker and quit two months before my surgery date. Hardest thing to go thru. But, my life meant more to me than the cigarettes and food. Smoking hinders proper healing, puts you at higher risks of blood clots, and developing pneumonia, etc.. i was sleeved 7/30 and as of today, smokefree for 2 months, 1 week and 2 days. I'm dealing with craving a cigarette, or craving food, or both. It is hard, but I refuse to be a slave to cigarettes and food ever again! Came through surgery just fine, aside from the typical post op stuff most of us deal with, it doesn't seem like I had major surgery! You can do it, you really can!!!
  20. The things we took forgranted in the past!!! Just think, it's the small things in life that can make us smile! We are happy just to be passing gas!!! I love this site! There's always something said that will make me smile or laugh each day!!! I'm am cracking up laughing, OMG!!! Please, I'm not making light of the question asked, because that was my #1 question at my 1st post-op visit yesterday. The answers today are the same my doctor told me yesterday! Wish we could put all this gas in our gas tanks, talk about a natural, low cost energy source! Have a great day guys:)
