  1. From what I understand, the chances of the hernia re-tearing decrease after weightloss rather then during. My dr. said as long as it doesnt bother you, its better to wait.(Atleast in my case.) Basically, bigger tummy=more of chance it will re-tear/ smaller tummy= less chance it will re-tear. Hope this little bit of info helps. Good luck.
  2. I took chantix for about a month. I didn't have any problems with it. I eventually forgot to smoke a cig. The hardest part was not smoking in my car. I bought these waterless toothbrush thingys called wisp and when I get in my car I take one out n brush my teeth. That helped me out. It was all about the habit of smoking after I beat the nicotene addiction. Best of luck to you.
  3. I just had my 2nd sleep study last night. I found out after the first sleep study I had severe sleep apnea. This study I slept with a cpap mask and slept a lot better than the 1st. Now just waiting for the results so I can see a pulm. dr.
  4. Do you have Bed Bath N Beyond store near you? They have a lot of scales that have high limits. You can also get a 20% coupon online for BBNB. I bought a Biggest Loser scale from them and I weigh 380lbs. Good luck
  5. what about vanilla flavored chobani? Its not as blah as plain, but doesn't have the fruit on the bottom. just a suggestion

I'm a 30 year old male, 6ft.2in. 380lbs(+,-), married,1 child(daughter 5months old). I work as a nurse. I have been cleared by cardio, did the nutrition thing. Had sleep study done and diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Now i have to go back for a second study and meet with a pulm. dr. Psyc appt is 9/11/12. I would like to have surgery late november, early December. No date set as of today. I've been 300+ lbs for the past 12 years of my life. Tried multiple diets, did the gym thing. Lost a few lbs here gain a few lbs there. Never could keep the weight off. I look forward to losing the weight and keeping it off this time.
