  1. My hubby like polka dots for some reason- but they always stretch from being cute to huge! I look forward to cute polka dot panties (even in granny shape) Oh and lace boylegs!!! I hate that I'm a size too big for the biggest ones so the lace leaves scratchy marks from being pulled too tight Love this thread!
  2. Lol! Have you ever seen the 30 Rock episode where to get Lutz a date they change the size stickers at clothing stores?! Sometimes I think someone is doing that with my wardrobe Lol, hay congratulations! It will take time but you have your whole life ahead of you to tell those jeans to F-off!!! Lol ((((hugs))))
  3. For some reason I thought this was about the wls called the wrap lol!
  4. I think you should go to the local pound and adopt a cat! This will sound weird because I don't advocate just buying pets if you're going to dump them later, but in your situation you need someone to live for! Someone you can trust! If you know you have to get up to change litter boxes, buy food, top up Water, and need someone to hug every night in bed a cat is your best friend. This man you may love. But is that because you don't love yourself? When you have someone else to focus on you can push your own problems aside... Now he's not there you don't know what to do! But let me tell you now- EAT! You must eat or you will die. You must look after yourself! You absolutely must! You want to be in a coffin with him and his fugly f-buddy smiling down? NO!!! You're too good for that! Pull your finger out and eat some food! I know, I've been there and you need someone to make you accountable! Purée will NOT make you fat and if you continue down this terrible self-destructive path you will waste away! You may work things out with him later, or not, but you can't do either if you're 6-ft under ground!
  5. I agree, I like the convenience & it was my sisters recommendation so I would have felt funny not to take her advice (she's pretty gung-ho) but I reckon most are pretty similar! Good luck
  6. Hiya!!!! I'm so excited to follow your journey!!! Good luck!
  7. Ohhhhhh yeah!!! I get healthy cook books EVERY Xmas!!
  8. Lol!!! Well the aldi ones taste like brownie mix.. How bad can it be?
  9. Oh and perfectionism is our brains way of sabotaging anything good
  10. We have to love the body we are in you won't know if you will like it or not until you get there but I reckon a lot of it is psychological! I think if we stay positive from the beginning we can be happy with even the little changes you know what I mean? Even my liver roll (the bit between my boobs and stomach is starting to sag, so from the front ive lost my empire waist line... On the back my bras no longer bulge in that ugly way- so it's 50% good 50% bad- but it's all loss!!!!
  11. Hey that's AWESOME! I might send an old photo coz they didn't have my height for when I was 144kgs! Bookmarked
  12. I'm thinking of going on a week of liquids in sympathy for those on pre-op diet and chemist warehouse has some good specials- but wondering if anyone has tried: Fatblaster Swisse Optislim Meal Replacements and what they thought of them
  13. True, except for the slm, it's got lower carbs (6.8 from memory) but lower protein (24. Something from memory) the n-force2 has 34.6 protein and 12. Something carbs...
  14. Oh and you can get pure whey protein isolate from organicsaustraliaonline.com.au, but it's the instantised whey protein in most mixes that makes it not clump, and the flavours that make it drinkable
  15. I'm a musashi fan and it's on sale at chemist warehouse right now!!! I'm ordering some slm to try coz my sister uses it but I normally use the N-force2. I mix it with mostly Water and a dash of milk. The vanilla tastes great Thinking of kayargh!!! Hope she's out of surgery now and recovering nicely
  16. Oh yes, I'm not an expert on how many calories you should def. be eating at your stage, but I suppose it depends on what makes up those calories... Sometimes I have a super high day of cals (for me) but its because I woke up at 4am and had lots of healthy Snacks during a long busy day, and vice versa. If your body says maybe its eating too much then that's great problem solved for you. I just have had probs in the past with not eating enough but that's my journey I just wish you great luck and all the success in the world!
  17. if I fit we could find a place that does kayaking! I'm a Uni bum so I write my own schedule- so anyone post a date and time and any activity you prefer and I'll be there!!! (don't rely me to organise though coz I can be a right bossy boots!!!!!)
  18. HEY!!! I doubt anyone here is going to tell you to do more exercise! Or at least more of that intensity I think at 4 months or so you've done AMAZING!!!!!!! Now it is very likely an adjustment period! It just happens, my doctors call it "starvation mode". You're body freaks and clings onto any fat... There are two ways to break it- eat more or eat less... I have learned the very hard way that eating more is the key!!! I swear! You need to add very fibrous carbs in, some apples, dried fruits, whole seed grains (you can find a recipe for a dense grainy bread somewhere and have a slice in the morning) and some nuts like macadamias or almonds... I have a trail mix made up that is my go-to food, a small handful is my goal! Exercise also works better in increments so if you can switch one of those classes for a 30 min treadmill or elliptical with 5 min walk 2 min jog/run then back to walk again then you will jump start your cardio in a different way Finally! Apart from being so proud of you for taking your life into your hands (my mum is 52 and has given up/ ready to die) I do know how you feel. I bet you look at your body and can't even see the differences you used to get so excited over! I challenge you to put that 25 pounds in a backpack and carry it around! Not only will it remotivate you, but it might help burn some cals too! DO NOT GIVE UP! Simply start again with small steps! Thanks to this you have the rest of your life to continue working at it!!!
  19. Do you get any emails from vst? I used their unsubscribe link to change settings. I don't use the app because I log in thru Facebook
  20. Lol, I'm surprised they didn't think you were Aussie!! We've been beating you in the statistics recently ohhhh the lucky country! Lol!! Oh and I've been putting off my wedding for SEVEN years waiting until I am thin enough to fit in Elizabeth Taylor's Taming of the Shrew wedding dress without looking like a dumpling!!!
  21. Oh! Good luck! Keep us updated and I'll keep you in my thoughts!
  22. Yup, my shiraraki noodles are the brand "naked noodles" ordered from organicsaustraliaonline.com.au and I loved them! They didn't go goey like some noodles do oh and yes the packaging had a funny smell but honestly quick rinse and no smell! Really really yummy and filling they take on the taste of anything! They really are great with any bolognase or cream sauce, stirfry sauce etc! Copied from the website: Where do we start? Naked Noodles offer a range of health benefits including: • Zero fat • Zero sugar • Zero gluten • Zero soy • Very low calories • Very low carbohydrates • High in soluble fibre • No preservatives • All natural • Low GI • Fast and easy to prepare • Versatile • Helps with weight loss • Makes you feel fuller for longer The primary ingredient of Naked Noodles (Glucomannan - natural soluble fibre) has been found to possess many health benefits. Naked Noodles are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and people with diabetes, as well as people with wheat intolerance or allergies to gluten or soy. As well as helping with weight loss, Naked Noodles also have many other health benefits. Used throughout Asia as a popular diet food, Naked Noodles are eaten as a replacement for rice and Pasta and can be incorporated into almost any dish in order to bulk and satisfy as would pasta, bread, rice or potato. People everywhere have been searching for an alternative to high carb products which can be challenging especially for individuals seeking a low fat, gluten and sugar free alternative. ----- Oh, and mine say made from Konjak: Konjac, also known as konjak, konjaku, konnyaku potato, devil's tongue, voodoo lily, snake palm, or elephant yam, is a plant of the genus Amorphophallus. Excellent find to help you over this head hunger (if that's what it is ) keeping you full without the cals
  23. What nyxa said x 10000000!!!! And I like the shirataki noodles from Japan too !!!
  24. Awww Lila! I'm so sad for you I'm glad they found what it was at least! I know a couple other 1%'s were saying it was annoying to be not eating but not losing weight from the tube one lady said she put on weight, but another (american) has said that the nutrifood is so expensive they had to get donations of it from ppl who stocked up and has leftovers I hope you have a safe transport! I was in Caboolture public for my pneumonia (albeit in their critical care unit) but I think as long as you have some support you will be fine- it seems to me once you're in the door of the public health system you're treated pretty well Maybe we should put those dry mouth swabs on the list to bring and take your time to recover, I certainly know how tiring hospital can be, and it's hard to "entertain" people from a hospital bed lol Either way you should let me know which hospital you go to, I'd like to send you some flowers get well soon!!!!!!
  25. I'm up for something, you should join our fledgling sleevers group I like the idea of a park walk or bike ride somewhere... I like the idea of bringing a football (American for me) and throwing it around roma street, or even softball! We could try a trip on the ferry to a parklands for a hike- or even book a taichi class some morning then go for brunch... Ohhhhh a hot air balloon ride! I saw that on someone's bucket list! I'll try anything once but not usually a heights person!
