  1. I understand. It's hard when you are trying to make a good impression. Especially given the job market, starting a new job is hard. All will be well and go exactly as it is meant to.
  2. That's awesome! I love hearing about everyone's little victories and big ones. Actually they're all big.
  3. Welcome Yael. I hope all goes well for you and all my fellow November Sleevers! Would it be too early to suggest a New Years contest? Lol. It's a good incentive for us. Haha!
  4. It all depends on how well you recover. And there is no way you can foretell that. I would say it should be ok, but I would fill out your FMLA paperwork before your surgery. There's no harm in covering all your bases. If your gut instinct is to take more time...then do it. Follow your gut. Good luck!!
  5. I felt the same way. I started in July, which felt like a lifetime away. However time does fly. I am scheduled for surgery in 43 days. How crazy is that?! I have my preop nutrition and orientation appointments 2 weeks from tomorrow. It's crazy how much there is to do to get ready for this. But if you keep on keeping on, time will fly by and your turn will be here before you know it. Good luck!!
  6. It's called t-zero. It's really an iPhone app, but I put it on my iPad. It was the only one I really liked. It's nice to have. When I first got it I had 70+ days left until my surgery...now I'm only a mere 45-ish days left. omg!!
  7. Any one else scheduled for November counting the days? I literally have a countdown app on my iPad. Lol. I have slightly more than 46 days until I have to be at the hospital. Not that I'm a tad excited or anything. Lol.
  8. Tall. That seems to make a difference in how we carry excess weight. I'm almost 6'. I hope I am as successful as you! Keep up the great work.
  9. I have a week left on the triple therapy regimen for the positive h pylori. There has been no discussion on a delay or anything with my surgery. I think they are waiting to see if this kicks it. The meds are awful and make me feel like garbage but it is what it is. I'm still on target for November 20th, with my surgery scheduled for noon. We shall see what the follow up test shows.
  10. That's awesome! Keep up the great work! If you don't mind my asking...but what were your stats versus now?
  11. That is fabulous. What is your goal weight?
  12. Chad, Marriage is tough. Going through a separation is even harder. Especially when it is not your choice. However, as the father of her children...I cannot help but feel that differences must be set aside to be there in your time of need. Unless to her the marriage is unsalvageable, she will be there for you. You're never alone so long as you have all of us. *hugs* Give a shout and we will all respond. You're willing to put the work in, that much is obvious whether it is the surgery or still wanting to make it work in your marriage. Keep positive and things will work out as they are intended. Tally
  13. That's great! Good luck!
  14. Got my results today from the upper endoscopy biopsy they took last Monday. Positive for h pylori. I hope this doesn't affect my surgery on November 20th. Doesn't help that I'm allergic to penicillin and erythromycin. This sucks!
  15. I just found out about ten minutes ago. I have to go on a couple antibiotics and Prilosec for a couple weeks then follow up with the GI doc. Grrrrrr. This better not delay my surgery in November.
  16. I'm also in week 9 out of 16 for my weight management program. I have another nutrition class in October and a pre-op orientation class. I have a pre-op appointments with my surgeon and bariatric PCP in November. In addition to those two appointments I have more labs to get. So things are really coming along. I am still shocked that I even have a date. I have gone through the process twice already and was completely denied so I am still gonna be waiting for the actual approval to come through. Ugh my nerves are wrecked. Lol.
  17. I'm so excited. And I just got my time too. I'm scheduled for 11/20/12 at noon. I report to the hospital at 8am and I have a whole slew of appointments to complete. It's gonna be a crazy couple months.
  18. Will be joining the losers bench on Tuesday, November 20th, 2012. Not sure on the time but I have the date at least!! Cannot wait.
  19. I have my surgery date. It's November 20th. I had my EGD today and everything went fine. So I just need to finish my weight management program (which I will on November 5th). Im so excited.
