Regrets
I agree, even though this is a huge life change. I don't think in terms of I can never have anything yummy again. Once my weight is under control, I don't see it as wrong to celebrate as others do (just much, much less than I did in the past). I am looking forward to a bite of cake being enough, a taste of something "bad" won't lead to a whole plate full. I'm glad I will have this tool to work with me, not against. Good luck!!

Can We Take Tylenol After Being Sleeved?
My surgeon also said Tylenol was ok. If you're concerned about taking pills, get the children's liquid tylenol. Adult dosage is on the bottle. Or regular Tylenol liquid if you can find it. (I couldn't ) Feel better.

Can't Wait To Divorce My Gall Bladder!
I'm very lucky that mine will be taken out when I am sleeved on 11/6. Anyone that has suffered through an attack knows it is something you never want to do again. I've had stones for years, but only became symptomatic about 2 years ago. The prospect of pending gall bladder surgery was actually a catlyst to move forward with the sleeve. Kill two birds... Good luck!!!

New Member. Is The Pain Really Bad Right After Surgery?
Hi and Welcome! I have the same types of fears, I've never been in the hospital and only just recently had my first IV. I've been reading and reading for months in preparation and have found a great deal of comfort from the reports of others. I plan on taking PdxMan's advice when I have my surgery on 11/6. Most people have written that it is not too bad, some gas pain but walking helps a great deal. Good luck!!! Good luck!!

High Protein Diet...help!
My office is the same way. Order smart. If you want a burger, get the burger. Take it off the bun (or order it with no bun) and have it with salad. I'll order a turkey & Fresh Mozz sub, but ask them to put it in a tray (NO BUN) have it with just a little Oil & vinegar. They all order it that way now. Or order a grilled chicken salad, and get the dressing on the side. Get a grilled chicken on whole wheat wrap. There are a ton of things to get, don't set yourself up for failure, just take a few minutes to plan it out. Get a few menus and highlight some items that will fit in your plan. Good luck, you can do it!

Need Help, Crew!
I'm still pre-op, so I can only imagine how you feel. I have had experience in loosing a chunk of weight only to sabotage myself in the end. I agree with Terri. You recognize what is happening. Go back to basics. Get rid of the junk, recommit and keep sharing! If you're feeling down, reach out. We have all been there. Don't beat yourself up, you can't change what you did yesterday, start fresh today and you will feel more in control. I would say Good luck, but I don't think you'll need it. You got this!
