  1. Happy Birthday!! Fantastic progress! Thanks so much for posting, you are an inspiration.
  2. Welcome! What a great motivator! You'll find this forum a wealth of knowledge and support. Good luck!!
  3. Congratulations!! I'm scheduled for that week too! Good luck to you!
  4. No one should have to go through all that. I have not heard of any doctor refusing to operate on someone with a BMI of 45, and I am sure some other folks here could back that up. I agree with Irish.. Go for a second opinion. You will find the right fit and be able to move forward. Good luck, and don't give up, you've worked too hard!
  5. I'm still stocking some things. Protein powder, sugar free ice pops, sugar free jello/pudding small utensils, small microwavable containers, stocks. We're getting close!!
  6. I do, November 6. I started my pre-op last week. So far so good.
  7. I Love it! You must be a ideal candidate for them to want to broadcast it! Good luck!!
  8. Awesome! How amazing you must feel! Very happy for you, keep up the good work!
  9. WOW! Great start. Glad you're feeling better. Good luck for continued success!
  10. Hi Colleen, I'm on my pre-op diet since Tuesday, granted I am not on full liquids like some... 3 shakes a day and one high protein/low fat/low carb meal a day. It has not been bad. I'm so ready for this. I do what I can to mix it up with the shakes so I dont' get bored and that helps. I can't speak to the surgery yet, but others can help out and post on that. Good luck!!
  11. Congratulations!! It is such a feeling of relief to get the approval! I'm sure it will all work itself out. The insurance company making the determination of "medical necessity" should be the biggest hurdle I think and they already did that. Good luck!!
  12. Fantastic!! Congratulations and I hope everything continues to go nice and smooth!!
  13. I'm so sorry you're having a tough time. I am still pre-op so cannot offer any practical information. Feel better soon. I am very sure you will get a bunch of feed back from sleevers that will offer some insight. Good luck .
  14. I did the same thing prior to starting my pre-op. I purchased the Magic bullet but found I like the Ninja better. I like the Pure Protein brand of powders best. Vanilla Creme and chocolate frosty. I have been adding PB2 to them prior to blending and they really taste great. Much less sweet than the pre made cans of the same brand. I also purchased some Torani sugar free syrups to try: pumpkin spice, Vanilla and Peppermint. Those I got on the Torani website. I'll let you know how they turn out. I use my ninja every morning, I usually have a canned shake a lunch. Search the recipe threads, I got a bunch of ideas from there. I agree with your comments on the unjury chicken broth. I love it! Good Luck!!
  15. Hopefully all will go smoothly. Good Luck!!
  16. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! \
  17. Thank you for posting! I'm getting sleeved in two weeks and it helps so much hearing from those out a year or so. Congratulations on your progress and thanks for sharing!
  18. Congratulations!! I have BCBS NJ and had the same experience. I started the process right when they changed the policy and got my approval in about 5 days also. I have surgery scheduled for Nov. 6. Good Luck!!
  19. Fantastic! Congratulations!!
