  1. Hi Carol and welcome! I purchased the Magic Bullet and promptly brought it back. I was initially torn between that and the Ninja Pulse system. I absolutely love the Ninja. It has a small footprint and blends very quickly and powerfully. I love the single serve cups for my every day shakes. I've had it about a month and very pleased with it. I have an immersion blender also and though I do love it, I find the Ninja handles the ice better ( I like my shakes with ice) Bed Bath and Beyond carries it for 79.99 and I used a 20% off coupon. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=18676320 Good luck!!
  2. Congratulations! Great success so far!
  3. Best of luck to you tomorrow and for a smooth recovery!

  12. You're taking in far less calories daily, the protein is where your body will get energy from. Simply put, without sufficient protein you can feel weak, have headaches and not really function well. So, if the majority of your calories are coming from protein, you'll have enough to live on and still lose weight.
  13. Good luck to you tomorrow and for a very smooth recovery!!
  14. I don't take anyone's experience as being negative, I'm glad you shared. I also like to know all the possibilities before so I wont' be shocked if something happens. In the grand scheme of things, if this is my big complication.. I'll take it. Recovering very well and anticipating getting my new date.
  15. Factor in what your Maximum out of pocket expenses are. My Horizon BCBS pays 80% after I met my deductible of $2500, but my Maximum out of pocket is $4000, so after adding up all co pays, and deductibles, I will only have to pay a maximum of $4000. Even if the surgery is 50,000 and I get billed for $10,000.
  16. Chapstick for sure, gas x strips. Good luck!!
  17. I went into the hospital yesterday for the sleeve and gall bladder removal. I came out with my stomach intact and minus the Gall bladder. Half way through my surgery I had an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. My heart rate shot up and they had to stop and stabilize me. Per the cardiologist, I have no cardiac issues to worry about and it is good they now know so that they can be prepared for next time. Very disappointed, but it was what needed to be done to be safe. On the positive side, the recovery for both surgeries is similar so I can report that I am up and walking around, very little gas and just a little pain on one side. The hospital staff were amazing. I have no hesitation about going back and finishing what I started in a few months. I am home and resting comfortably. Hope all you other November 6 sleevers are doing well!!
