So many months of going back and forth with my decision...but I made it, and the date for surgery is tomorrow! I feel very ready to do this and just hope no complications!!! Is the lst week really that horrible? Good luck to everyone struggling with the decision!

Good luck to you tomorrow and for a very smooth recovery!!

for me the first day was bad but ive felt so much better ever day since...i was sleeved on 11/8

I'm going from Lap band to sleeve......I get butterflies everytime I think about da surgery.......

It really wasn't as bad as I expected. I really had no pain from my incisions or anything. The only problem was with the gas. Just make sure you walk, walk, walk. This will help pass the gas quicker. Also if you can get some of the GasX strips, these really helped.

I dont regret having this done at all. I had my surgery 2 months ago today and still have times where I am surprised that I did it!

Hope your experience is a good one!

1015am tomorrow for me as well....here we go

Good luck to all of you. May you all have a smooth recovery. I too have done my share of going back and forth on going through with this. Once I get my official surgery date I think I'll feel better (right?). I just try not to spend to much time in my head. I know that I need to do this.

When I got my first surgery date I was ready ......then it was cancelled cuz he was going out of town da next day n he didn't wanna be gone after my surgery .... I'm going from band to sleeve

Good luck!! Mine is scheduled for noon on Friday. Went through the whole pre-admin review on the phone this past Friday. Get to do all the pre-op stuff from home (anti-nasea patch, colon cleanse) on Thurs. Been on a liquid diet since 11/2....SO ready to be on the other side of it so I can start healing and move forward.

Good Luck!! I got sleeved exactly last Monday! Gosh I still get excited thinking about it. The first day wasn't bad considering you have a "knockout button" you push whenever you feel the slightest pain or discomfort. The second and third day for me we difficult. Nothing unbearable just mostly discomfort. Realizing I had a catheter in me was SO ANNOYING!! But now im home and today I went walking the longest (food- or shall I say liquid- shopping) You will do great and as advised before, make sure you WALK, WALK, WALK!!! It'll pay off because im still getting rid of some of the gasses. : ) Give us an update!!

Good luck !!!.....this is what I was drinking when I started my pre op diet da first time they r really good ........n 17g of Protein.....they also have some that's 20 g

I want to thank all of you for the well wishes...I read them before surgery but didn't have a chance to respond. It's now 4 days later and I'm feeling much better than I had been. Please know it is a MAJOR surgery...I was shot out afterwards the day of surgery and two days later...yesterday started to get a little better but MAJOR gas pains. Today, better than yesterday so it truly does keep getting better. Good luck everyone!!
