I walked a mile in 33 min and I'm darn proud of that!! Especially since I have arthritis in my lower back and right thigh. Now for the 2 miler . I'll get there slowly but surely.
-
That's wonderful!! Just take it easy because you don't want a set back so soon after surgery.

I love chicken cordon bleu but not chicken breast. This sounds good. Would love to try the leg instead. Thanks for sharing. CoolBreeze

100 Pounds Down, 91 Pounds To Go.

Century mark, OUTSTANDING!! What a milestone, in such a short time frame, congradulation on your achievement. -
It will depend on your progress and what your doctor feels is appropiate for that particular stage. My doctor said to wait at least 6 weeks before rigorous exercising or weight lifting. Just to give the insision areas time to begin healing. I'll be 12 weeks post-op on the 26th and my doctor released me in my 8th week to start exercising without limitation (except do not lift ANY weights over 3lbs until my 16th -18th post-op week. You just have to find a medium that you and your doctor can agree on. PLUS, you don't want a set back in the post-op phase if you can help it. Hang in there, you'll get past this soon. Hope this helps you out.

Crazy Question About Using Olive Oil
CoolBreeze replied to Susie in Lima's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use extra virgin olive oil for cooking as well making salad dressings. Very interesting article. Thanks for posting. -
I knew from the beginning that RNY was out. If for no other reason than no one could give me a satisfactory answer about why after you have the pouch does the excess stomach have to "hang around" inside you... doing absolutely nothing? Plus a couple of friends have had complications with RNY and that was it for me - no thanks. The band - well its just that - a band. Rubber band that has to be either loosened or tightened. It could possibly get lost in the intestines - no thank you - again. Did research on the Sleeve and after about a year of trying to make up mind if I will have the surgery done (I knew it would be the sleeve hands down), the only question was when. If I don't need the extra stomach (its not doing me any favors) why should it after to hang out in me for life? I don't want it. Sleevie ONEder (that's the name I gave it) & I have been best friends since June 26. . And we will continue that growth from now on.

Can You Eat Out After This Type Of Surgery?
CoolBreeze replied to Joy1961's topic in Food and Nutrition
You might be able to, it would depend on what stage your in...liquid, soft foods, etc. And where you're eating out at. You would have to stay away from fried food (although some folks actually have said they can tolerate fried foods...I'm not one of them ). Just use caution. Your body (your sleeve) will tell if you can take it... or not. Try not eat things high in fat & sodium. Hope this helps you. -
You are suppose to drink 8 cups of Water a day (or more). I have a 25 oz bottle and it is nothing for me to fill it up at least 3 times in my 8 hrs at work. Then go exercise with another half liter...come home and can drink another 2 - 3 bottles. So tell me, can you actually drink too much water? And if so, would there be any complications because of it? If it has not dawned on you -- I love water

How about sugar free gatorade? Do they make a s/f Gatorade?
-
I was feeling sluggish and run-down until I began to drink about a gallon for a few days but that's when I started wondering if I might be drinking too much. Will check the doctor to get his input.

Mine was feel this hard thingy on either side of my neck and I began to panic. Then my girlfriend turned to and said "uh hon that's your collar bone". I just went 'OMG! didn't know I had one. lol

Outstanding for sure!! congrats to you. Your date could be a game of twister. Oh yeah, I'd love to do that. Or a walk in the park, a museum, a movie, dancing. Just a few suggestions that aren't in the food category

That sounds like a winner. All I need to do now is find the magic bullet. I could whip up shakes/smoothies with the bullet. My blender doesn't like me any more. Plus the bullet is smaller and takes up less space. This recipe I'm putting in my VST folder of recipes
