  1. Many people actually come out of the hospital heavier due to the IV fluids. It is definately too early for you to be worried about this. Give yourself time to heal. We all think the sleeve won't work for us or we will fail. Your sleeve will work for you, just not overnight.
  2. Congrats! I still have the rolls in the front but much of my back fat is gone.
  3. I don't have any restictions from my doctor on this but the safest bet is something over the counter like calcium carbonate aka Tums.
  4. I was supposed to avoid all yogurt with small seeds the first few weeks. Now I eat yogurt all the time. I usually get plain, nonfat Fage from Costco and Dannon light & fit greek yogurt at the grocery store. The Dannon has fruit on the bottom but I don't eat it because I don't want all the carbs in the fruit syrup.
  5. Wowza! Just looked at my VST profile and I am no longer obese on the BMI chart. I am now just 'overweight'. It is laughable to be excited about being overweight but I am! I loathe the word obese and now it no longer applies to me. Yeah!
  6. Thank you! My new favorite store is Ann Taylor. Never could shop there until a few months ago. :-)
  7. Checking in Feb sleevers. Down 80 lbs from this time last year. 60 lbs since surgery. I feel great.
  8. Down 80 lbs from this time last year. I'm getting into size 10 and mediums now instead of 20s and 2x.
  9. Thanks for posting. All gone except a pair of leggings in size E. Darn.
  10. Breakfast- 16 oz n/f milk Snack- chobani Greek yogurt Lunch- caprese salad Dinner- not sure yet
  11. I see many bypass patients that look gaunt and have a really bad pallor in my surgeon's support group. I can't be certain but I think the malabsorption does it to them. This was one of the reasons I went with the sleeve. I also think what I eat makes a difference. I count protein and carbs but not fat. I eat healthy fats like nuts and avocado. My skins glows and I look way better now than when I weighed 250 lbs!
  12. Great job! I can eat noticeably more now also and my food issues rear their ugly heads every now and again too. Not keeping junk in the house makes a huge difference, otherwise I become powerless and cheez-its start calling my name from the pantry! Been doing the couch to 5K app on my phone. I really like it.
  13. Just to clarify. What settings/ treadmill modifications e.g. Incline, speed, etc will help replicate my run outside so I can switch back to outside later?
  14. Been doing the last few runs inside on treadmill due to the heat. What modifications do I need to do so I can still run outside once it cools off? I'm on week 4 day 1. Thanks
  15. Just wanted to say thanks to the OP who has inspired my dinner this evening!
  16. Same here Maharet. Down 55 lbs and started juicing a few days a week to get in whole food nutrients.
  17. I average 10lbs a month. Totally healthy loss and grateful that it's 10 lbs down and not up each month.
  18. Isereno you set such a good example. Thank you for posting.
  19. Great Jon LisaT!
  20. Pistachios, no idea why because other nuts sit heavy and fill me up. I can eat these for days.
  21. Quick check in: DOS size 20/2xToday size 12/L.
  22. Buy things you can freeze/store in pantry since this is a stock up trip. My must haves at Whole Foods include: Brat Hans Chicken Meatballs, Applegate Farms organic sliced chicken or turkey breast, Alive & Radiant Kale chips or their other raw veggie chips. Actually, I am so addicted to kale chips that any brand on sale ends up in the cart. I also always pick up a small container of their fresh fruit salad. Their deli selection is great but since we eat so little, I don't get much there. The curry chicken and vegan curry "chicken" salad in the deli is good. Haven't bought it in awhile but I love Primal's vegan "jerky" as well. Their organic bulk section is good too. Just getting back into sprouting my own grains and they have the best prices on organic dried grains and beans. I get Think Thin bars their as well. I also love their natural hair care products too. I'm lucky, we have lots of Whole Foods stores in the area.
  23. I should mention the Twin Labs is a bariatric calcium- so it is chewable. Not awesome tasting but it works.
