Good Morning Cuties, Betty, I use a regular mouse with my laptop, I couldn't stand using the little pad. It makes life on a laptop so much easier . OK, here are a few pictures....

Betty, I've had the pleasure to meet Steve and he is a keeper :smile2:. Well girlies, what do y'all think of this new LBT lay out? Looks like all of Alex's hard work is starting to "pay" off now. I suppose the ads are not a bad trade off for the privledge of hanging out with my friends. Michaele, did you have to mention the "C" word, and only 49 days now, YIKES. I think when you get my age, gift cards should be totally acceptable. I'm seriously thinking of getting one of those trees that come all decorated, flat in a box, then you pull it up from the middle and it's decorated. I had a big open house for Christmas last year with over 100 people, not happening this year, that was probably two parties in one....first and last, haha. Darcy, Pogo Queen here, I never knew I was so dumb, omg, did you try to that trivia challenge? Betty, as for the pool, I turn on the auto pool sweep, WITHOUT the bag, it keeps the leaves stirred, well in my case pine needles more so than leaves. Sherry, thanks for the advice, I really think my band has deflated, I took a "horse" size pill this AM, no problems, went right down. I guess I'll try bread today. Betty, what are you doing to keep losing your posts? I don't have that problem, maybe it's something to do with your computer. (Not saying I've never lost one) Jetti, you ready for a fill yet? I just heard about that Pandora site yesterday, while I was getting my nails done. Diane, I look forward to our "next" visit, I'm really thirsty, haven't had a cocktail since lunch with you. Have a great day gal pals, Betty I'm sending the monkey back .

Need advice from patients of Dr. Terracina!
Sue, that first year is part of the plan, you're slighting yourself if you don't take advantage of those visits. I was Dr. T's first lapband patient ...big smile here . My last fill was May 07, so I'm a little past due myself and need to go for a tweaking as Dr. T calls it. He knows I hate to be over tight and since he does everything with flouro now, I don't want to be too tight. My first year all the visits and fills were in his office. I've only had two fills under flouro, one at Sentara Careplex and one at Port Warwick. I'm sure I'll get a lecture when I go back. I'm more concerned my band is still in place and working well, I haven't had any band related episodes in a few days, maybe I need to try to eat a Big Mac...just kidding about the Big Mac. I'm very happy he only does fills under flouro now, he missed my port with my first fill. JimmieLou, I know you must be very excited.

Confessions of a Food Addict
Allis, I think there are many of us that could have written your post. I must confess, I know I'm past due for a fill, but I've actually enjoyed being able to eat a variety of food, but entirely too much. As for the 4oz, I was never just a 4 oz person, but I did make better choices. I've made all kinds of excuses as to why not get a fill until after the holidays, one of which is a 2nd honeymoon. I'm leaving for Acapulco on the 13th, I know I won't be going for a fill before then, LOL. Allis, I think that we get happy with our life and complaisant, but for heaven sakes, stop being a closet eater, right now! Be honest with your Bf that you feel you're entitled to a "treat" from time to time and that you prefer to have this treat with him. I would also inform him that if he starts to begrudge your decisions, it could do more harm than good. Five months is a long time, but try 4 years! It's ok, you've realized what you're doing wrong and it's time to take a deep breath and make positive things happen....you CAN do it! Stay in touch, that's what we're here for. Hugs

Happy Birthday Diane...again! (We celebrated Diane's birthday at Red Lobster with Soup and salad.....and a liquid toast..or two). Sounds like hubby treated you to a great birthday. Jetti, so well said! I know I'm due for a fill, I haven't spit in days. What a strange band I have. Some days I can't eat ice cream, (very few), and other days, like yesterday, I ate fish and didn't have a problem. Speaking of fish, I baked Rockfish last night, it was so good. Then hubby went out back and caught two more big ones. I guess we'll be having fish again this week. Hugs all.....don't forget to vote.

Ebonie, welcome to bandland! Sounds like you're doing great and all is normal. Don't over do it, just keep walking. Way back when I had my surgery, it was an over nighter, I had surgery on Monday, home on Tuesday, drove to the store on Wed. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new "friend". Hugs

Evening Ladies.. Diane, how nice of you to stop by, hahaha. Yes, hubby is in Orlando, yahoo, I'm enjoying quiet time, haven't left the house today ) Betty, Sherry, Kat, I'm trying to decide if I'm going to wait until after my upcoming trip to Mexico and my Dec/Jan trip to go for a fill, chit by then I will probably have gained 10 lbs, my close still fit the same, but I feel so thick, does that make sense? Darcy we'll have to meet for a Scrabble game . Donna, Diane, I'm going to be available for cocktails tomorrow night, that would be Wednesday, here in VA, LOL. Diane the Operation Smile was great, the rain held off until the end, at least it was warmish and not a freezing rain like last night was. I found out this am my heat was not working in my bedroom, it was 66 freakin degrees. I called the hvac guy, of course, since I have a 10 year warranty, that's 6 years old, they couldn't work me in until tomorrow, hum, guess they already spent the other money. Yep, getting cabin fever, I think I'm going to run out to Wawa's and fetch a custom made salad. I have been pretty good today, had two protein shakes, aren't ya proud of me! Later girlfriend! NJW, are you near Atlantic City, now there's a meeting place.

Where are you in between posts? Sherry, Darcy, I am gonna get serious about that fit game, well in my case it would be a challenge, LOL. Betty, Eillenie, whattttts up? I'm so glad hubby is playing golf tomorrow, I've spent two days in a car looking at property, sooooo done! I just want to chill, get some tan and did I mention chill, LOL? Hugs everyone.

Sherry, if I can get this email to work, the sending part, I'll forward you the pictures so you can downsize for me :smile2:. That's the only problem with this wifi stuff, it works one way. I've got a Verizon stick and it receives very well, but I can't get my email to go, boohoo. Hey as for Mexico, we're going the 13th of next month to Celebrate the big 40, now that I'm looking forward to. I have to admit the weather is awesome here. We spent the afternoon looking at condo's and OMG, freakin fortune. We went into this one ocean front and it had an European kitchen, fancy dangled espresso machine, installed in the wall, just like a microwave. They had instant hot Water at the sink and a hot water spout over the huge stove. Well as you all know that would have been one heck of a waste for me...haha. Diane, where are you? Darcy, don't look for me to open that box too fast, I bought a new printer last November, wireless, yep, it's still sitting in the box. Betty, I'm so excited you got your hair cut, I'll bet it is awesome, can't wait to see it.

OMG, you girls are in rare form today! Sherry, you and your DVD's and work out programs, I had to laugh, I bought the Wii "fit" almost a month ago, it's still in the box, sitting next to my desk, lol. Betty, I'm in sunny Ft Lauderdale, we stood on the balcony this am and watched the sun come up over the horizon, beautiful! I think you should go for a total new doo to go with the new girls. I ran into a friend at the seafood fest we went to Wed evening and she'd had a lift and TT and she got the implants, they looked like what I wanted, so I've pretty much decided I'm going back in for the implants and more reduction, I hate wearing a bra. Kat, I just can't keep up with you girl, you're always doing something. I can just vision the little one, I'd say she's got gma where she wants her. Darcy, I'm thinking of you, sending you good vibes... Sherry, chaps, LOL, I'll think of you wearing those things while I'm sitting out with my NOT skimpy swimsuit on, LOL. OK, I'm gonna be back with some pic's, but I was afraid I'd lose this post.

'Buyer's Remorse' - 2 Days Post Op and nauseous.
Pain meds, yep that will do it. Since the pain is bearable, try switching to OC pain reliever. As for shoulder pain, massaging that area really helped me. Trust me, it does get better, especially if you cut back on the pain meds, if you really need them, try not to take on an empty stomach. Oh yeah, it is so worth the discomfort :crying:. I love my band.

Darcy, oh Darcy, where are ya girl? Sherry, hubby and I rode our Harley yesterday. They hadn't been started since April, so he had to add fresh gas and spray stuff in the carb to get mine started. They had a pig roast at our local "Hog" dealership. I might need a fill, I ate some of the BBQ, Beans, and slaw, oh my! I've really enjoyed eating a larger variety of food lately, but the last thing I want to do is start gaining, soooo, it's time to face the needle. I've got to check out the suit cases today, and measure to be sure we're not over-sized for our trip, 61 inches and not over 50 lbs. I had to pay $25.00 for excess weight last time, then I didn't wear half of what I took. Please tell me now to pack light, LOL. Betty, are you riding yet? Still trying to decide if I'm going to go back for TT touch-up and more work on the girls. The healing I'm not too afraid of, but boy do I hate being put to sleep. Did you buy any fancy bras yet? Are you still wearing that special bra? Hugs to ya all, have a great day.

Sherry, my font was messed up and I thought LB had changed the font, but something had changed on my personal settings through my Vista operating system. Hope that helps.

Thinking about lap band but.....
Kiz, oh you're bad, putting hubby on the spot like that. Congrats on the weight loss.

Vote for your favorite protein drink!
Yuk, gasp, I couldn't imagine drinking any of them, I hate milk! When I did fix a "shake", I would use my Magic Bullet, (the kitchen type, not the bedroom one), and this is my recipe. Large MB glass, 1/3 glass of ice, a splash of orange juice, a scoop or two of RICE vanilla Protein, a few frozen strawberries or frozen peaches, then a little more juice of choice, (I use the light orange juice 50 cal vs 100), screw on the top and blend until like a frosty. If not sweet enough, add a little artificial sweetener. Now when I make my frosty, I use the 42 gr protein from GNC, it's called...IDS Sports New-Whey 42™ Liquid Protein, it's actually great tasting and comes in a variety of flavors. Another bandster recommended it to me and he just drinks it straight. It's a little pricey, but a great way to get that protein in.

Is creamed corn ok 2 wks out?
Personally, I don't have a problem with corn, but then again, I'm almost four years out. Corn is NOT something I would have eaten during the first month. Have you ever noticed a few days later it's still pretty much in the same form it went in. Not a good choice in my opinion.

My baby is here!
