1. Carla, I wouldnt say never. It's possible you will have these things again, in smaller portions.
2. One thing I can say. SORRY GUYS!! I had my period for the surgery and I have it right now. Gas is def. worse right now than this whole process. Don't know if that means anything but I'm starting to wonder.
3. So, I have a question. It is week 4 for me. Every so often I get the sharp pain in my shoulder even now. It is the exact same feeling I had on day 2 after surgery which I think was gas. I don't know how, but could I still have gas trapped in there? Or do you think it's food making it? What foods should I be avoiding? The pain is brutal!!
4.
Hey Dolphingirl. Were you at OCC? Mine was May 11th. Just curious if that was you next to me. ANYWAY, omg, I am right with you on the always feeling hungry comment. I have eatten thick stuff. No solids but thick stuff. It is so hard not to. I had the noodles in the chicken noodle soup. It slid down. I'm worried that I am consuming too much!! June 2nd is my first meal and I swear a chicken breast on the grill will be a dream.

I hope someone responds to your thread!!

5. One more thing. You're probably looking at double that cost in the states. SO it depends on how you feel about going out of state. It is SO worth it!!
6. Hey Shawna! Welcome! I was self pay and I went to Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana. His web-site is Relocate . It's $8,500 no hidden fees. You fly in to San Diego and a driver will pick you up. You have a pre-op about 24 hours before. Spend the first night in the hotel they provide which is a nice one. You stay one night at the OCC hospital and then go to the hotel they provide for one additional night then they take you back to the airport on the third day. The hospital is very clean and the Dr. has a great record. He is awesome and I love him. You should check it out. I am very satisfied. There's no psych. eval. They look at your BMI, then give you a pre-op diet plan to follow. And that's it!! There's no waiting period or any crap. You could be banded by summer!! I went through efinancing-solutions.com to get the loan. It wasn't a great APR but i didn't want to put it on the credit card and there's no penalties to pay it off early. Let me know if you have other questions. Good Luck!
7. That's a good question. I expect mine to change for the better. I will feel better n-a-k-e-d in front of my hubby. But as far as him. He only said once "you're not going to get skinny and leave me are you?". And as for me - I'm not going anywhere. Fat or skinny my marriage is forever.
8. Very touching! I am blessed!

I know exactly what you mean when you say 'busy summer'... I don't know why that reply cut me off mid-way through. Anyway, hope all works out for you. Hope the family doesn't spill the beans until you're ready. Hope they are all understanding. Let us know!

Last summer in my hubby's hometown it was The City's Centennial celebration, The Family Reunion (the whole family.. once every 10 years), It was the All-Class Class Reunion for his High School and it was all over the 4th of July weekend. Yes, there was a celebration Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night. It was the biggest event of the decade in his home town! There were parades, parties, concerts, games and get togethers. Needless to say, we had to work due to last minute 'emergencies' at our job. His mom was upset, we were upset. Classmates he hasn't seen in 20 years told his mom to tell him hi. Aunts and Uncles came from nursing homes. It was HUGE. Now there's family portraits and the class pictures and the only ones missing are us. For real...we are the ONLY ones not there!
11. ABSOLUTELY!! Have the wedding you've always dreamed of! Girl, it could be the best day of your life. Get pampered, get your hair done all those things that a girl dreams of!! You NEED to have a wedding! It's good for the soul!! I think as far as etiquette just handle it like a normal wedding. Send out invitations, have a maid of honor, father-daughter dance (if dad dances). By the way...i do weddings!! I don't know where you are but I've flown out of state to take wedding photos before!! LOL Let us know!
12. The good news is... you can still get it. I was self pay and there are tons of people here who were as well. Dr. Ortiz in Tijuana was $8,500 no hidden charges. And I think I read one even less than that if money's an issue. (not sure as far as quality) Dr. Ortiz is wonderful and I recommend him!! Just slap that thing on a credit card and u can be banded before summer!!
13. HEY!! WAY TO GO!! So, who did you go with? CONGRATS!!
14. Hi Shellqueen!! My hubby and in-laws are all from Minnesota!! We go there alot. Welcome to the board and congrats on a possible September surgery!!
